The Westenders are so much a part of Brecon life, producing an annual pantomime for the last 77 years. They have exciting plans to refurbish their premises. We all need to get behind them - to ensure their ongoing success, and to create facilities to benefit the wider community

Our retained firefighters play an essential role in keeping our communities safe. Such a privilege to acknowledge the commitment and dedication of all the team at Talgarth, but especially 4 watch managers from across Powys who between them have served 166 years as volunteers! 🙏

St Oswald's in Oswestry was the magnificent setting for Shropshire's inspiring legal service, where I was delighted to join my colleagues from Shropshire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire

This Saturday's walk was in the extreme north of the county - Lake Vyrnwy with the damage wrought by Storm Darragh, the peace of Pennant Melangell and its shrine and the delightful Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant

Most enjoyable lunch with the Welshpool magistrates - one of the outstanding benches in England and Wales. An opportunity to thank them all, and especially outgoing Chair, Stephen Pembroke

Really vibrant atmosphere at Taj Mahal Community Hub in Machynlleth. So much going on - weekly lunches, baby bank, drop in for cups of tea and coffee, Radio Dyfi, art (collage when I visited), and a warm welcome! Diolch yn fawr iawn am eich croeso cynnes

This year's Sir John Lloyd lecture given by Professor Helen Fulton was a fascinating trip into the elite of medieval Brecon. Excellent to hear how brecknocksociety.wales is promoting Welsh history in schools
