I was saddened to hear the news that we‘ve lost Franco Harris - a legend of the @steelers, the city of #Pittsburgh, philanthropy, & the game of #football - just days before the 50th anniversary of the #ImmaculateReception. I send my condolences to his loved ones.💛

Today I voted with my fellow @HouseDemocrats to pass the #RespectForMarriageAct, which protects the right to same-sex & interracial marriages under federal law. It's a vote I wish we wouldn't still be fighting over in 2022, but it's a vote I was proud to make. 🏳️‍🌈

The shooting that took place in Colorado Springs over the weekend was a horrific tragedy. The mix of senseless gun violence & a rise in anti-LGBTQ acts should concern everybody. My prayers go out to those affected by this shooting & I stand w/my LGBTQ friends!🙏🏳️‍🌈

We’re cracking down on hidden "junk" fees like surprise overdraft and deposit fees, credit card late fees, hidden hotel booking fees. Even those termination charges that stop you from switching cable and internet plans to get a better deal. They add up. We're taking action.

I’m outraged that the #Erdogan government of #Turkey has recently detained hundreds of members of the Gülen movement and cracked down on free speech.  Giving food and other assistance to struggling families doesn’t justify imprisonment.

Keeping communities safe means giving law enforcement the resources they need while increasing accountability. House Democrats passed 4 bills to make our communities safer: ✅ Invest to Protect Act ✅ Mental Health Justice Act ✅ Break the Cycle of Violence Act ✅ VICTIM Act

Pleased to join @ACE_Fitzgerald and other local officials in breaking ground for new development at #CarrieFurnace site. I’ve been working for years to redevelop the site - including securing $10 Million for improving access with a “flyover” ramp over the railroad tracks.
