1/🧵 Live tweeting (sort of) from the shit show, disorganized Utah GOP Caucus which is apparently more efficient than regular automate mail out ballots 1. We are at a middle school. 2. No one knew where we should go. 3. Several precincts are meeting at the school. 4. After

Need caucus information for tonight? Visit Caucus.Utah.Gov. The GOP will also hold a Presidential Preference Poll at their caucuses tonight. Democrats are holding a primary. Polling closes at 8:00 pm. Decisions are made by the people who show up. Be one of them!#utpol

@DeidreHenderson Maybe we make it easy? My husband - a life long registered Republican - was turned away because he did not preregister for the meeting. Are you kidding me? Are you serious? #utpol

For those who attended caucus, do you believe the Presidential Preference vote held by the Utah Republican Party was a good idea? Do you believe the vote was secure? Finally, do you believe the Utah Republican Party should do it again?

@mikemckellutah Our precinct did well. Every person was verified, given a credential, and their ballot was filled out by them, and counted in front of the group. Full transparency, great discussions, and easily accessible. I prefer being in person when voting, and results when we finished ✅

@mikemckellutah Loved it. Wouldn’t mind changing the security protocols, but it went great for us. Loved having more people engaged at a granular level. We don’t just need more participation, we need more well informed and active participation.

@mikemckellutah No Mike. I don’t think the vote was erroneous in our caucus of about 100 people, but certainly it isn’t adequately reflecting the will of the whole of the Utah GOP. We need a primary again. Give power back to the majority of the people.
