And yes, it would be good for the WNBA to have better entertainment value to bring more attention to the league, more women into the game. So... yep. More entertainment value, more eyeballs, more cash, grow the game.

I love watching a summer baseball game, but watching the Rockies and the Diamondbacks go through 10 pitchers each and put up 13 strikeouts isn't doing it. The game has fundamentally changed, and it is less fun to watch.

It’s amazing how heated this one gets. I understand having specs for equipment, and that could give max length. But if someone wants to hold their driver along their forearm and it makes them drive the ball straight, should we ban that? Doesn’t make any sense. Some dudes were winning and they threw the ban on it. A bunch of dudes are loving mallet putters right now and they provide a clear advantage via data, should we ban that too? Where is the line?

I’ll give someone…hell anyone…even a manufacturer $500 💵 if they can actually prove w/data that “anchoring” makes putting easier. We have yet to see a complete dataset that proves that it does.

@Top100Rick Let’s be honest, this rule was created because Adam Scott was killing it and winning tournaments with the long putter. If someone gets good enough with the long putter they will create another rule. If anchoring (or close to it) was so good, why are 98% of pros basically stock?

Is Akshay anchoring here? I am not accusing. But there is a point to the question. The USGA and R&A screwed up royally when they banned anchoring but didn’t ban putter length. Because touching clothing is legal, it’s impossible to detect now.

@Top100Rick I think being at Sawgrass makes it feel more like a major. Closest thing to the Masters. Great course, epic finishing stretch of holes. It feels like the players care about winning it as much or more than the PGA each year

“March is going to be Major”. People are mocking the PGA Tour for this ad, but let’s be real. The Players is a better golf tournament than the PGA Championship. Full stop. The PGA is more coveted because it’s the 4th major. Yes. But not better.
