Scientists have long known that heat can help fight cancer. The challenge is delivering it exactly where it's needed. Researchers at @UTEP are studying magnetic nanoparticles that can heat and damage cancer cells with greater precision. Their latest findings identified a material that outperformed others in laboratory testing, opening new possibilities for targeted cancer therapies. While the research is still in its early stages, the findings could help advance more precise, minimally invasive treatments that target tumors while reducing harm to surrounding healthy tissue. ❤️‍🩹 utep.edu/newsfeed/2026/…

The best solutions for the classroom are often shaped by the people who know it best: teachers. 🍎 At @UTArlington, researchers are partnering directly with educators to develop a research-based micro credential that supports thoughtful, responsible AI use in K-12 classrooms. By grounding AI learning in real classroom experiences, the project aims to better support both today's teachers and tomorrow's educators.

What if understanding how cancer rewires itself could reveal new ways to stop it? 🧠 Researchers at @UTMDAnderson found that a common glioma mutation changes the shape of DNA, reshaping how cancer cells function, and helping drive tumor progression. The discovery provides new insight into the mechanisms behind brain cancer growth and exposes a promising target for future therapies—bringing researchers one step closer to more effective treatments for patients. 🔬

Navigating without GPS is challenging for anyone, but especially for soldiers who rely on the technology in critical military environments. In response, @UTArlington is launching a study to examine how navigation technologies impact decision-making, performance and preparedness in military contexts. By analyzing what happens when systems fail, researchers hope to develop training strategies that will help soldiers navigate missions with greater confidence. uta.edu/news/news-rele…

Humans rarely learn by following a perfect script — we learn by testing, adapting and improving. Excited to see @UTSA research applying that same mindset to AI, opening the door to more efficient autonomous systems that build from their mistakes 🤖💡
UT San Antonio@UTSA

The future of AI may be built on failure, not perfection. 🤖 Professor Yongcan Cao from @UTSA_CEID is developing a new approach to AI training that uses past mistakes to create smarter autonomous systems. Supported by a $500K @USNavyResearch grant, the research has applications across robotics, healthcare, and beyond. Learn more: bit.ly/44FQ3yk
