Proud of our Mocs! Several UTC wrestlers captured individual Southern Conference titles this weekend, and the team finished runner-up in a hard-fought championship. The Mocs women’s basketball team also wrapped up an outstanding season. They fell just short, but what a year for this program. Great things continue to happen at UTC. Go Mocs!

After more than a 21‑year effort, @SouthwestAir is in Knoxville. The first of many flights has taken off! Great to connect with members of our President’s Council this morning for our virtual coffee. We shared updates on our 2030 strategic plan, discussed the latest from the legislative session and reviewed insights from the recent President’s Council survey. Their partnership and engagement help power the greatest decade in the history of the University of Tennessee, and I’m grateful for their continued support as we build momentum across our state.

This hospital not only provides critical services to equine in the region, but also is doing cutting edge research to improve the health and safety. Thank you. Employee Appreciation Week is underway for our UT System Administration, and it begins with gratitude. From finance and HR to communications, legal, academic affairs and operations, it’s the people who help ensure UT can continue its impact across Tennessee. At the end of the day, it’s rarely the spreadsheets, reports or metrics that stand out. It’s the people. The relationships built, the challenges navigated together and the shared commitment to doing meaningful work. This week is about recognizing those people and the difference they make every day.
