I'm not sure how this myth became widespread. Vasectomy can sometimes be reversed but not always. We only do vasectomy when the intent is PERMANENT contraception.

Today we're directing $50,000 to the Wild West Access Fund of Nevada, which will work with dozens of funds across the country to allocate money across them all. This isn't an *enormous* donation—and that's part of what we're sounding the alarm about. Costs are high and worsening.

Here's what we're saying: We're naming abortion debt as a gross phenomenon. And we're also saying abortion is healthcare and healthcare should be free. And that abortion debt is medical debt and medical debt should be canceled and prevented from happening in the first place.

It’s shared by patients, clinics, and abortion funds, and spread over credit cards, outstanding clinic bills, and loans. Patients are having to rely on family or community members to help alleviate debt—much like other types of shadow debt.

Here's what's happening: We're seeing an emergence of abortion debt. These days, clinics are telling patients to take out payday loans or put the cost of a procedure on credit cards. This makes abortion debt a complicated beast to tackle. It’s not located in just one place.

News: We're giving $50,000 to local abortion funds today. Rage donations flooded abortion funds after the Dobbs decision. But since, funds are running out of cash. And as clinics/abortion access vanishes and costs for travel/procedure/childcare skyrocket, they need help.
