Finally, they forward the message to their victims. Because DKIM only verifies the message and its headers and not the envelope, the message passes signature validation and shows up as a legitimate message in the user's inbox - even in the same thread as legit security alerts.

The eternal focus on “preventing this from happening again” over “reducing future risk” is telling. I promise you that your users will be more upset over a novel outage that takes eight hours to remediate over a recurrence that is resolved in two minutes.

With yet another relicensing, I’ll repost this. I don’t care so much about a given license - it’s the fact that we’ve lost a thing you could’ve used to make your life better. That it can’t be a community like it was anymore. Sad. youtu.be/8q5o-4pnxDQ?si… via @YouTube

If you want better communication in your work life, you need to communicate better in your work life. You need to actually say "could you ask me this question differently next time?" not "hey asshole, read our corporate slack policy about never saying hello"

No, they shouldn’t. You know what behavior you need? Talking. More talking. So much more talking. I don’t need to minimize your chit chat or police your conversations. I need you talking to each other. All the time. About everything. Say hello all you want!
Ben Lang@benln

Every startup should incorporate the “no hello” rule internally. We had this rule in Notion’s first internal communication guidelines. This may be one of the easiest ways to make Slack usage ten times better and have asynchronous communication that actually works. Share nohello.net with your team and give it go.

Friends, I did read the same doc you did re: nohello. It's not that I didn't understand it. It's that it shouldn't be anyones job to police how other folks communicate. If someone says "hey", just say "hey, whats up" like a human being. Don't link them to a fucking doc.

If you give your kids the space to be themselves, they will reveal to you what it’s like to be in the presence of people being themselves, and you might even decide to try it for yourself again
