It's much worse than this.
1) You're expected to believe that Odysseus just forgot about the tide.
2) This would be forgivable, because the Mediterranean basically doesn't have tides. It is sometimes known as "the tideless sea" because the average tide only rises about 8 inches — sometimes only 4 inches near the probable location of Troy.
3) You are thus expected to believe that Greeks drowned because Odysseus built his horse too close to a puddle.

Before the Anglo-Saxons arrived, most of England and Wales was already inhabited by Brittonic Celtic peoples the ancestors of the Welsh. Anglo-Saxons were later arrivals, followed by Vikings and Normans.
Britain has never belonged to just one group. That's history.

Here in Germany is a unique (afaik) soft drink. The generic term is “Spezi”.
“Mezzo-Mix” is the Coke brand, and “Schwip-Schwap” is Pepsi. But in a restaurant you can just ask for Spezi.
Anyway it’s a mix of cola and orange soda. I don’t know the exact proportions, but it’s trivial to make your own at home and adjust to your liking. So I guess a good version would be Mexican Coke with Fanta, and a ghetto version would be RC & Faygo.
