I don’t know if she has ambitions for presidency in the future but I’d not bet against it. If she does have them, I can tell you for a fact that we’re well and truly fucked! And even if she doesn’t, I see her playing a major role in the selection process if not handpicking & controlling the person(s). Mr. 1986 has done many horrible things in Uganda. Many of them can be attributed to his advanced age, good old paranoia, his purely despotic nature & a delusion that no one can lead Uganda other than him, plus he’s an army man - with him, you know what you’re dealing with. AAA on the other hand is just a wicked and unpredictable prospect. If you lift a finger against her, you’re finished! Anything you say or do against her can land you in the hottest of soups - complete with steaming ingredients. Imagine having everyone who tried to stand against her in Bukedea disqualified & deleted from the voters register - including the NRM opponent from the party primaries. In the words of Elijah Kitaka, “This is unusual.” As in not only are they unable to stand against her, they can’t even vote. Basically they’ve been stripped of their Ugandaness. Meaning she’s unopposed. Mr. 1986 would probably allow other people to stand then frustrate them with police battles and rig the hell out of the election. People must see some form of democracy even if it’s a sham. AAA has no time for that. And from what I’m hearing, her power (which is backed by shitloads of money sprinkled with threats & blackmail) runs so deep that several top ministers and NRM stalwarts fear even looking her in the face - she’s that deadly. Anyway, let me go and have breakfast around Parliament Avenue. I hear they have good katogo there.
