What’s the connection between @Ugconnect_ and @coffeeinvestug? I see there’s some cross pollination.
Also, I see Mr @KKariisa registered as a Director. He seems like a guy who wouldn’t take crappy corporate governance practices.
Did they receive any taxpayer cash as well?

A certain patriot reached out and volunteered this information. The desk is currently working frantically to verify the same. This information that you’ve provided is very helpful.

@TonyNatif @coffeeinvestug @KKariisa We appreciate all those leaders who gave their time and resources to the marketing cause and regret any insinuation they could have been paid for their services or benefited from it in any way.

@TonyNatif @coffeeinvestug @KKariisa These private sector members completed their support role to UG Connect and handed over fully the campaign and organisation in August 2023 without any payment or funding from the government or outside sources.

"In a landmark engagement, Uganda's wheels of progress have been further set in motion with the successful visit of the UAE delegation. A testament to the foresight of our leaders, the discussions held from 20th to 23rd November have birthed promising outcomes across sectors. In the spirit of advancement, Etihad Rail's contemplation of our Standard Gauge Railway project paves the way for transformative infrastructural development. The agriculture sector witnessed potential funding avenues for our esteemed coffee transactions and a propitious development of a coffee fund—a leap towards bolstering our exports.
The exchange with E20 revealed a possible USD 20 million investment in beef feedlots, aiming to elevate our beef export capabilities significantly. Our vision for oil and gas, aerodrome development, and ICT sectors saw equal enthusiasm, with ADNOC and G42 aligning with our strategic goals. The commitment to enhancing our national security through rapid ICT deployment and a partnership for animal vaccines with G42 Hayat Biotech stands as a beacon of our resolve to secure a healthier future.
Notably, discussions on mineral sector information with IHC and tea and solar initiatives with Masdar have been initiated, heralding a new era of diversified economic growth. This visit has not only strengthened bilateral ties but has also showcased Uganda's readiness to embrace global partnerships for a prosperous tomorrow. Our concerted efforts today set the stage for a future ripe with opportunity and shared success. Let us harness this momentum and continue to stride confidently on the path of progress and unity.

Exports to the 21 members of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) are worth almost $2bn, with South Sudan, DRC, and Kenya accounting for over half of this. With the benefits of the AfCFTA now beginning to emerge, both the volume as well as value of this trade is likely to increase. Given the increasing restrictions on air freight – a major worry for a landlocked country – Uganda’s road-based intra-African trade could become a mainstay in the future. #Exportstrategy2028

Uganda signed with the airport of Nis, some 200 kilometres south of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, to handle cargo from Uganda into the Balkans and Eastern Europe. The airport named after the third century Roman emperor Constantine the Great who was born in the region of Nis, receives 150 large size cargo trucks daily with transit goods to Greece, Albania, Macedonia and other Balkan nations of south Central Europe. The airport also handles large volumes of tourism passengers in the region during summer in Western Europe.
The agreement was brokered by the Uganda Trade Representative in the region, Mr @STOBratislav. HE President Yoweri Museveni opened a trade hub in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, in July this year. The hub has generated demand for visits to Uganda and orders to source products from Uganda.
