What a great night lastnight. Standing room only in Thorington Street studio for Mike’s talk about Orion. Then outside into the garden where we had telescopes setup viewing the Orion Nebula, Jupiter, Pleiades, Andromeda ,M81 & M82 galaxies (12million light years away!!)
Another day… another tv appearance with Mike and Dedham Vale. Technical difficulties in the cold saw the live broadcast with BBC Look East cut short and then come back to us minutes later. @Andydownman flying the flag for our great group. Well done bud. Well done everyone!
Another great event at Abberton Reservoir Nature Discovery Park - EWT with Andy Green and his planetarium dome last night. Thank you to all that attended. Weather steadily worsen as the night went on, but thankfully most people got to see through a telescope 🔭

Yesterday saw us met up in London for Astrofest 2026. A pilgrimage we have been doing for many many years!! Always such a great day meeting up with great friends in the astronomy world. Astronomy Now magazine, SKA observatory and First Light Optics were amazingly generous 1/3

Thanks to everyone that attended another sell out stargazing event at @EssexWildlife Abberton last night! The weather played into our hands and we had many clear patches to view the cosmos. We will be back here on 14th Feb for a valentines 💘 special event!!
