Big News!! I have been keeping this to myself, but I finally got my "dream job." Didn't know it existed until I got my appointment. I will be supporting Indigenous communities with land rights & climate mitigation efforts and policies (globally). This should def. give you a hint of which international org it is!

OPINION: "A proposed “green fee” is one high priority solution. It allows the millions of Hawaii visitors to make a positive difference in protecting our diverse ecosystems with a $50 annual fee." ⤵️ 808ne.ws/3ZjTtSg

You can dance to it! With tremendous help from @portugaltheman, we have a splashy new video celebrating today's news from #BristolBay. Today's the day: @EPA vetoed the proposed Pebble Mine in #Alaska. It’s a win for people. A win for science. And a huge win for #BristolBay!

I'm thinking of starting a book club to help me read/reread books that I keep passing over or putting down for "more pressing" things. Does not have to be these exact books but focusing on Indigenous works (mainly Hawaiian works here). Anyone interested?

@kteabam Species that cause harm by dominating and altering the ecosystems into which they are introduced. Over millennia they may evolve to not be as harmful or destroy and cause other species to be displaced. But in the present they are running amok causing harm

When we think about fear, there are two types, legitimate fear for which there is some valid basis and fear that is rooted in our mental projections. There’s a Tibetan saying that if you let your mind run wild, you’ll see a robber in an empty house.
