@mantatrades meowths are already in the 10€ area on cardmarket in english, while telepath energy is cheap af. Once the set drops those cards wont cost a kidney we good.

@jbirdo2025 @TrustYourPilot1 @PokemonProxies The difference is: Metagross NEEDS to have 3 metal energy attached to even use the attack so for Metagross this is always required unless you somehow lower its energy cost. Slowking doesnt so it only needs to declare that it will use the effect to gain the damage.

@TrustYourPilot1 @PokemonProxies I think I need to admit I’m just dumb. To me it means either both metagross and slow king may discard steel energies but dont have to but still enjoy more damage. Orrr they both HAVE to discard 3 steels to do the damage. Hot take: metagross should just not be a great slowing card

@TrustYourPilot1 Slowking can copy the attack and declare it will discard 3 Metal Energy, but doesnt actually have to because the effect does as much as it can with the extra damage not being reliant on the energies actually being discarded. (2/2)

@TrustYourPilot1 God I hate how folks take the god aweful LimitlessTCG mistranslation as gospel and get confused. In Japanese its a "You may discard 3 Metal Energy, deal additional 150 damage" effect because its intended for Metagross that requires 3 Metal Energies to use tje move. (1/2)

@KDizzle_2113 @Pokemon Double Battles are hard if ya aint used to them considering that mainline games only sprinkle em in rarely. But once ya figured out how to use attacks like Protect or Follow Me they become a tad easier.

@Huntiemon It was the same with Lumineon V and will be the same with any card that says "search a supporter". its just too good to just be able to Ultra Ball for Meowth/Lumineon and grab the supporter you need in that specific situation.
