the trouble with scifi weapons design is perfectly exhibited by this post: none of the designers are familiar with firearms, contemporary or historical, and base their designs off movies. the result is a bunch of greebled bullshit designs being compared with one another

My perspective on sci-fi weapon design. Even with authentic silhouettes, excessive and gratuitous detailing can render them looking cheap and implausible. When unsure how to handle intricate details effectively, it's often best to keep things simple.

It seems pompous to assume that this Retro Futurism present primarily with Moebius was really appealing to the Heavy Metal Magazine Generation like myself. I would enjoy a return to it on occasion though I suspect it wouldnt resonate as well.

So, last year she was standing at airport with a mask on and no one recognised her.
My friend did. He went and asked if she is Emilia Clarke. She said yes. He talked to her and got to know about her Indian ancestry. She was kind enough to explain all that to him. She said she has come to India for a number of times, even before her popularity.
Then he asked for a picture. She looked here & there, said she does not want to attract attention. Quickly removed her mask and had a picture clicked with my friend. Then she left with her team who were sorting out some formalities at airport.

Emilia Clarke is of partial Indian descent on her mother's side, her maternal grandmother was born to a man from British India and had to hide her sink color to fit in. Emilia Clarke credit this background fro giving her 'a history of fighters.
