@serinigalini @eyesonbee Best animation in the entire game imo. Just beat Type-0 for the first time last week and Deuce definitely ended up being one of my favorite characters to play in the end.

@Sebbywebz In the very least, that’s the impressions I have gotten since I started playing through all these FF games about 2 and a half years ago. Really looking forward to getting to XV and XVI to see how the truly modern FF games feel to play.

@Sebbywebz What the series has established for more than a decade. Ever since then; XII, XIII, FXIV, FXV, and FFXVI have all felt radically different from one another in terms of gameplay to the point there is massive dissonance in what the franchise is *supposed* to be.

The drop-off in quality after Final Fantasy X needs to be studied #FFXII

@GameDadVII The way social media presents it, it feels like little people are actually excited for games anymore. I swear all I see is a bunch of negativity for upcoming and newly released games. It almost feels like if it’s not a 11/10 game, it’s just labeled as “bad” by a large majority :(

The current gaming culture confuses me. People get so excited when a game they weren't excited for doesn't have glowing reviews. I absolutely understand not being interested, or excited, in a game. But being happy when it underperformes doesn't jive with me.

@FfMeryll I found each one of these games enjoyable, but all for different reasons. Each one excels in one aspect where another may lack, so I personally don’t feel a drop in “quality” from any of these FF games aside from X-2 for its heavy reuse of assets and overall dissonance

@JRPG_Warrior Do you have a license to equip that Nintendo Switch 2? For real though, it’s nice to see FFXII get some love. I feel it’s one of the least talked about mainline games,and it deserves a lot more recognition than the “game that plays itself” that I see echo’d around.

@TheDavidVinc The splitting of the party is definitely a nuisance, but I cannot lie in saying my mind was blown when I found out the cat who joined up with Brandt was actually Princess Aire. That was genuinely so cool!

What was up with Square Enix's obsession with splitting up your party around 2009-2010? Personally, I'm really glad that we've moved away from that mess.

@J19_Gaming89 Found the game a lovely breath of fresh air. The gambit system is one of the most unique and useful gameplay systems, the environments were awesome to explore, and the hunt system might be amongst my favorite side content across all of FF

Happy 20th anniversary to Final Fantasy XII!! I first played XII just over a year ago now and quickly sank 100 hours into it before ending off beating Yiazmat. If there is one thing I especially love about this game, it has got to be exploring all the amazing environments!

@JazzLikesToGame I really need to play Vagrant Story sometime. I remember watching a retrospective on it a few years back and it enraptured my interest. All I can really remember is that the intro was godly and the word “Lea Monde” because I just like the way it rolls off the tongue

Nevron Report LAMPMASTER On the surface this seem obvious, however this Nevron is far more intricate. SPOILER WARNING Lampmaster's design has taken inspiration of the mythology of the Cursed Artifacts. The Cursed Lantern: A symbol of lost souls and unfulfilled destinies. Legends tell of a lantern carried by a wayward spirit, forever doomed to guide lost travelers to their demise. This foreshadows to a character's own demise after defeating it. The Cursed Music Box: It's sweet melodies carry an unsettling chill, often evoking feelings of sorrow and longing. Sounds of souls wailing for companionship. This also foreshadows with the haunting music and longing for company of a character's demise. The Cursed Dagger: This has the ability to syphon light and lifeforce to assassinate it's foes, but comes at a cost by turning its wielder crazy in doing so. This is shown by the sword of light coming from Lampmaster's chest when the lamps glow with a devastating attack which catches most players off guard
