I have a theory that being left handed makes you more prone to addiction. Developed this in rehab where 40% of the people there were left handed.

Random thought:
Growing up in the 80s and 90s TV commercials were pretty much the same for everyone.
Depending on what you were watching the network ran commercials geared toward their proposed target audience.
Everyone saw the same commercials which built a shared understanding of “stuff.”
As lame as TV commercials were, they generated relatable information that could start conversations.
Now all adds are targeted toward the individual.
Case in point: asked one of my adult kids if he wanted to see Project Hail Mary.
His response: What’s that?
Advertisements for the movie never made it into his bubble.
Wild.

This isn’t even what I dislike about General McChrystal the most. When he was our commander in Afghanistan, he told us to practice “courageous restraint”. An ROE policy that largely gave the enemy the advantage and put us on the back foot. It was so ridiculous that Netflix made a movie about it starring Brad Pitt. The movie was a joke. It was meant to be funny. Sure wasn’t that funny to some of us who lived it. I’m uninterested in his advice here. Or his opinion about behavior.
