@DeputyGrocott I have to agree with you. Yes there are many demanding jobs, especially ones with life saving decisions, but in teaching you are literally on the go from the minute you walk in to the minute you leave for home. It really is "mentally demanding" the holiday breaks are vital.

Teachers make around 1,500 decisions a day. In a 10 hour day thats 150 decisions an hour. That’s a decision to make every 24 seconds. Nearly 300,000 decisions in 39 weeks of teaching. Such a mentally demanding job. Too many holidays, yeah right!

@UltraRunnerPod @MattMahanSJ I still remember all of the teachers that made me learn. I wasn’t always the easiest student. But they made me a better student and person.

Growing up in a rural farming town, my local high school had a higher drop-out rate than graduation rate. So I took the bus two hours to San Jose and back. Every kid in California, no matter where they come from, deserves a quality education. That's what this plan's all about.

🚨🚨The weakest men compete in girls’ sports, the weakest minds celebrate it. On Saturday, I brought a few ‘Save Girls’ Sports’ signs to the Davis High School invitational track and field meet after I heard there is another trans-identified/-groomed boy competing in the throwing events. I confronted the DHS athletic director and principal about gaslighting the girls and lying to kids about biological reality. Even though they asked me not to, I record everything because government officials are often violating our First Amendment free speech rights.

@UltraRunnerPod Either work from home or find another third option, perhaps like the 90 min no traffic commute once a week.

A 90 minute commute with no traffic or a 30 minute commute with terrible traffic. What's your pick?

I know it's tempting to say: If you girls would just stand down and refuse to compete, this whole boys in girls sports thing would be fixed. It's not true. Many girls have stood down. Not every girl, all at once (which is an impossibility to coordinate across leagues and sports, etc). But I promise you, it's not the end all be all to end this. It's just not. And it puts all the onus on children. Children who only get a few seasons. To ask them -- all of them -- to give that up . . . because leaders, adults won't do the right thing? It's not right. We have an Executive Order. We have the biggest most important and influential sport governing body in the world, the IOC, saying they will protect women's sports. And we supposedly have 80% (at least) of Americans on the side of girls and women. And still, here we are. AB Hernandez won 3 events at CIF prelims over the weekend. If you really think girls are gonna get done what the President and the IOC cannot . . . you're wrong. What we need is the leaders of the sports governing bodies to do the right thing. And we need to call on them to do it. What we need is for the 80% of adults who have the common sense to know that boys should not be in girls' sports to stand up and say ENOUGH. The vast majority of them are still silent. Make it a non-starter for a coach to field a boy on a girls' team. Say something, anything. Make this absolutely unacceptable. Because it is. Girls, if you want to stand down, do it. I support you. So many do. If you compete, and also speak up about the unfairness, I and @xx_xyathletics are here to support you. And so many others. But the grown ass adults, the professional women athletes, the team owners, the league leaders, the coaches, the parents watching all of this unfold -- STEP UP. That's who we need to call on.

Beth, I support your cause 100%. Couldn't be more supportive and I too work daily to change the minds of people who discredit women/girls' accomplishments and rights. I've been to many of the meets you're at, I have a daughter who runs competitively in Sac at a high level and I'm sick and tired of this trans athlete bullshit. I gotta say though...your approach could use some polishing. In this video, you come across as hysterical, cringy, and out of touch, and I'd assume you're turning more people against our shared cause than supporting it and that really sucks. We need to be civil. We need to be concise. We need to be strong. We don't need to be screechy and crazed and that's what this most recent video looks like to me. Please don't take my comment as an "attack", but use it as constructive criticism. Keep fighting the good fight, but understand that screaming at the AD who, I'm assuming has little power to change STATE LAW, is maybe the wrong approach.

I will die on this hill. I will argue till I’m blue in the face. I will produce the data. Participation in youth sports/activities is as important as many of the classes my kids take at school. Maybe more important.

At what point does it make sense to go back and just use a damn horse?

@lebosquet No parents at all. This was during PE. Every friend group has their own rules (and notable their own terms for those rules), but were all playing together, so I was trying to make calls based on total chaos.

She did it! Rachel Entrekin is the Queen of Cocodona in 56:09 (hours). She’s the overall winner, setting a new overall CR by over 2.5 hours and beating her own best time (also a CR) by seven hours.
