And yes, as I condense sentences here, the near Hypothermia was Thursday Arvo at work, was like a Zombie the next couple of days, Sunday at the race was actually the only dry day we've had since returning (no rain at Logan, plenty at home though)

Yesterday was my 7th Logan Marathon. The body hasn't been quite right since returning home, going from 40c to barely 20c isn't that easy. Rain too, 2 days work, pouring rain & around 10 minutes from Hypothermia (have had 5 times know the signs). Slow, finished #runchat #marathon

@benbergan May Races not Theay, I'm still getting used to the new phone. Have run over 2,000K there in events since 1996 ?, and feels weird to have not been there for a few years, pretty much one of the founding events of Australian Trail running

@benbergan Those were the days, by memory theay races, Cooks Tour, July Flinders Tour, off hand I ran the 50K in May 14 times (wasn't excited by the Midnight? Start), did the 100 Miler 5 times in September (first couple of times when it was the only Australian Miler).

This memory came up today. My first 50 miler back in 2021. The Glasshouse 50, finished 4th in 9:50~. For a while I had a run of 4th place finishes, thankfully I ended that curse taking 3rd in the next race.

@racingblogger I've been to numerous stadiums over the Years (normally to see the @RollingStones , including London Olympic Stadium in 2018) but nothing beats the MCG, Years and years of @Richmond_FC games including Grand Finals from 1967 to 2018

@Susan16Park Way back in the mid 90s I was working in Sydney, a while had to use an Apple Macintosh for part of my work, swore back then I'd never own any Apple Rubbish, and never have, little embarrassed the Wife has an iPhone I may have paid (in cash no way I wanted it on my Mastercatd,)

@PollyPorridge I don't normally watch on Kayo/Foxtel or whatever you call it, but have no choice on Saturdays (and being in Thailand the last 7 weeks, have had no choice but to watch Kayo) and well I thought the 7 Commentary was bad, some of the worst commentary I've ever inflicted on my ears.

@Ultra_Kelvin A half marathon in 30C heat is no joke, especially starting at 5:30 and watching it climb from there. Running past giant lizards on course is something you don't get at most races. How'd you handle the humidity?

Today I ran my First Race in Thailand, a Half Marathon at King Rama IX Park. Very hot was 30C when we started at 5:30 only got hotter once the sun came up. Nice course, saw all over the park, saw Asian Water Monitors (2nd biggest Lizard) Slow #runchat #bangkok21Kparkrun

@RaceMatcher In simple terms just ran slowly as I physically couldn't run faster. After 6 weeks here I'm semi acclimated to the humidity but it doesn't magically get easier as far as I can work out.
