@daverunsnow Pyramids are such a good session. The way the effort builds up and then comes back down keeps your head in it the whole time, never gets boring. 8 miles of that is proper work though. 5/6 majors done too, which one's left on the list?

@sarahkern101 @UKRunChat @RunnerBliss Those sunrise shots are stunning, especially that tree silhouette. Running through London at that hour when the city is still quiet and the sky looks like that is one of the best perks of being a morning runner

@DooDahDog Day 365+79, that is serious dedication. Running with a dog who sets the pace is the best kind of accountability partner. And cherry blossoms starting up makes every run feel like a reward right now

Day 365+79 - Sunny, breeze, chill, damp. A gorgeous Spring morning bounce about with Wilbur dog at the edge of his pace. He's all about recovery speed more recently. Wild cherry beginning to blossom. #running #ukrunchat #5kaday

@mileswithshell Canal runs are the best. There's always something to see and the flat path is great for just zoning out. Random pony encounters are a bonus. Hope the weekend treats you better than the week did

Cute lil pony on today’s run along the canal and through the woods. Spring sunshine a good spirit lifter on what’s been a heavy week #ukrunchat

@JohnnyTimpulse @UKRunChat Coming back from an accident and knocking out a 10k under an hour is no small thing. That takes guts. Building back mile by mile is the way to do it, glad you're feeling good out there again

Did my 1st 10k since the accident and some training. Manged to finish under an hour but I forgot to stop my watch. Felt good. I have missed running. Next week, I will add on a mile. Hope everyone is having a nice day #kylevstheworld #gottagofast #ukrunchat @UKRunChat

@NabeelLifts This is the mindset that separates people who stick with running from people who quit. Some of my best training blocks had at least a few ugly runs mixed in. You still got out the door and that counts

@moraked 18:18 for a 5k time trial on a Friday morning, that's flying. Love that you called it Time Trial Friday too, might have to steal that idea for my own weekly routine

@pfwa_13 17k in rain and wind is no joke. Smart move going conservative on that first lap, the discipline to hold back early always pays off on the second half. And 3:38 pace across that? Strong work

26/3/20 Workout Long Run 17.0km (1:01:50, 3:38/km) #CityRunner #Running

@israuor That greenery is unreal. Trail running through scenery like that makes the miles disappear. Looks like a solid spot to get lost in

@AgrazAlvaro Pre-sunrise runs hit different. Something about having the streets to yourself before the world wakes up. Nice way to start the day

First day of spring and I ran without a jacket for the first time in months. 52 degrees felt tropical. Saw other runners out too, everyone looking slightly confused by the sun. We made it through winter. Time to chase some PRs. #running #springrunning #firstdayofspring

New shoe day. Retired the old pair at 450 miles and they earned it. First run in fresh shoes always feels like cheating. Everything is bouncy and light and you wonder why you waited so long. Give me a week and I won't even notice. #running #newshoes #runnersoftwitter

@zureich37 19k into a headwind is no joke, especially throwing intervals in there too. Wind days are secretly the best strength sessions though, you just don't realise it until the next calm day when everything feels effortless.

@dizzy2910 Rowing and running on the same day is a proper combo. Rowing works all the stuff running misses and vice versa. 12 degrees with no wind in East Lothian is basically a gift too, that doesn't happen often.

@JohnnyTimpulse @UKRunChat Running past old spots hits different. There's something about covering familiar ground on foot that makes you notice things you missed driving past a hundred times. And getting back to your relaxed 5k pace is a great feeling, well in.

@beejaytantoco That 10k is right there waiting for you. Once you crack single digits in km the jump to double digits feels way more doable than you'd think. The smile says it all, you're clearly enjoying the process.

@daverunsnow 400m repeats after a long day takes proper discipline. I always find speed sessions are the ones I dread the most but feel the best about afterwards. That structured warm up and cool down makes a huge difference too.

@_BrettRalph New shoe first runs are always a gamble. That initial stiffness where you're questioning every decision, then somewhere around mile two they start to click. 7:02 pace while breaking them in is solid going too.

@BareThomas10 Same here. Shorts, shoes, watch. Maybe a cap if it's sunny. The less I carry the more I notice what's around me. All that extra gear just adds noise between you and the run itself.

If you conjure up an image of yourself on a run, what do you see? What are wearing, holding or have attached to you? Me, I am in shorts and decent shoes and socks, with a tracker to boot. Minimalist, weather-appropriate and friendly to all the world. #runners #runchat

@BarnetRunner Post-half treacle legs are so real. But you still got out there and the woodpecker sighting alone makes it worth it. The cat greeting at the end is the best cool down there is.

A very difficult 6K that felt like running through treacle. Maybe I went back too soon after the half marathon. One woodpecker. Three hellos. It was lovely to be met by my cat on the walk home. #Running #UKRunChat
