GOODNEWS:🔥 In the early hours of Saturday, terrorist elements coordinated an attack on a Forward Operating Base in Mandaragirau, Borno, but troops of Operation Hadin Kai repelled the assault, killing several insurgents. The troops recovered arms and ammo, including 7 AK-47 rifles and RPG bombs. No Nigerian military personnel were killed, but one MRAP vehicle was hit. At least 8 terrorists were neutralised, with more believed to have been wounded or killed as blood trail was seen in their escape path. More wins for the troops🔥🔥🔥

TROOPS OF OPERATION WHIRL STROKE RESCUE KIDNAP LADY, ARREST SUSPECTS IN TARGETED INTELLIGENCE-LED CLEARANCE OPERATIONS Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE have recorded significant operational successes following intelligence-led clearance operations conducted on 24 March 2026 across parts of Benue State. Acting on credible intelligence regarding the activities of armed herders within Mbapa and Mbabuande communities in Gwer West Local Government Area, troops of Sector 1 deployed from Bilawa-Jor and Naka swiftly mobilised to the area. On arrival, the troops conducted a thorough search and discovered an abandoned suspected criminal hideout. Troops continued clearance operations with further exploitation across River Akpako leading to the arrest of two suspects, who are currently in custody undergoing further investigation. In a related development on the same day, troops responded to reports of kidnapping activities at Tse-Ubena village in Yooyo Council Ward of Katsina-Ala Local Government Area. Troops deployed from Tor-Donga, in conjunction with operatives of the Benue State Civil Protection Guard, conducted a coordinated operation on a suspected hideout. During the operation, one kidnapped victim, Mrs Member Ityavber, aged 28, was successfully rescued. The rescued victim is currently receiving care and has be reunited with her family after a debrief. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend members of the criminal syndicate responsible for the kidnap. The Force Commander, Joint Task Force Operation WHIRL STROKE, Major General Moses Gara, commended the troops for their prompt response and professionalism. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Joint Task Force to ensuring a secure environment, particularly as communities prepare for the farming season. PRESS RELEASE SENSITISATION TOUR: DG NAFIC URGES TROOPS TO LEVERAGE WELFARE SCHEMES, COMMENDS OPHK OPERATIONS The Director General (DG), Nigerian Army Finance Incorporation (NAFIC), Major General Julius Osifo, has urged troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) to take full advantage of existing Nigerian Army welfare and financial schemes designed to enhance their well-being and operational effectiveness. Major General Osifo made the call on Monday, 23 March 2026, during a sensitisation visit to troops at the Headquarters Theatre Command, Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Maimalari Military Cantonment, Maiduguri. He explained that NAFIC was responsible for managing key welfare initiatives, including the Nigerian Army Benevolent Fund, Group Life Assurance Scheme, and other support packages aimed at assisting personnel in cases of injury, permanent disability, or death in service. The DG noted that the sensitisation programme covered critical areas such as the Nigerian Army Personnel Loan Scheme, the Chief of Army Staff Personnel Loan Programme, activities of the Directorate of Non-Public Funds (DNPF), and the establishment of the Nigerian Army Microfinance Bank (NAMFB). He emphasised that the initiative was designed to educate troops on their entitlements, responsibilities, and the benefits available to them. According to him, improved awareness of these schemes would further boost troops’ morale and fighting spirit, ultimately enhancing their effectiveness in ongoing operations. Major General Osifo also commended the Theatre Commander, Joint Task Force North East OPHK, Major General Abdusalam Abubakar, for his leadership and operational successes in the theatre. He noted that the sustained offensive operations have significantly degraded terrorist capabilities, despite a few isolated setbacks, and have restored public confidence in the Armed Forces. In his remarks, the Theatre Commander appreciated the DG NAFIC for the timely visit, noting that it came at a critical phase of ongoing dry season operations. He disclosed that troops have continued to record successes, neutralising about 300 terrorists through well-coordinated operations and superior firepower. Maj Gen Abubakar added that increased awareness of welfare packages has contributed significantly to boosting troop morale, as personnel are reassured of adequate support in times of need. He affirmed that the welfare scheme was inline with the Chief Of Army Staff, Lt Gen W Shaibu NAM concept of "Soldier First Culture" which is the focus of his welfare and administrative drive for the Nigerian Army. The visit underscores NAFIC’s commitment to promoting professionalism, strengthening troops’ welfare awareness, and supporting sustained operational success in the fight against insurgency in the North East region. Highlights of the visit included the inspection of a quarter guard, an interactive session with officers, signing of the visitors’ book, presentation of souvenirs, and a group photograph. TERROR SUPPORT NETWORK BUSTED: TROOPS ARREST 18, URGE COMMUNITIES TO STAND FIRM AGAINST INSURGENTS Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have arrested 18 individuals linked to the supply of logistics to Boko Haram terrorists (BHTs), highlighting a disturbing pattern of civilian involvement in support networks that sustain insurgent activities in the North East. Preliminary findings indicate that the suspects were intercepted while moving through Gubio towards the Gudumbali axis, allegedly to deliver supplies to terrorist elements. Initial confessions suggest that the individuals were drawn into the illicit trade largely due to personal economic challenges, reflecting how criminal groups continue to exploit vulnerable persons for their operations. The Nigerian Army strongly warns all citizens against any form of collaboration with terrorist groups. Providing logistics, intelligence, or assistance to such elements remains a serious offence, with grave consequences for national security and the safety of innocent lives. The public is reminded that the fight against terrorism requires collective commitment. The effectiveness of ongoing operations depends greatly on the vigilance, cooperation, and active support of host communities. Citizens are therefore encouraged to promptly report suspicious activities and resist any inducement to aid criminal elements. It is equally important to recognise the need for sustained socio-economic support and community-focused initiatives that can strengthen resilience and reduce vulnerabilities within affected areas. Continued support for government efforts in empowerment, skills development, and access to basic services will further discourage negative influences and promote lawful means of livelihood. The Nigerian Army remains steadfast in its mandate to safeguard all communities and protect law-abiding citizens. Lasting peace and stability, however, can only be achieved through a unified approach, where security operations are complemented by broad-based developmental efforts and strong community partnerships. The public is therefore urged to continue standing resolutely with the Armed Forces in rejecting terrorism in all its forms.

Christians in Nigeria continue to face brutal violence and death at the hands of radical Islamic terrorists. The government in Abuja must step up and protect their citizens in the Middle Belt. It's past time to decentralize police authority so state governments can protect their citizens and stop this horrific persecution.
