The entire point of having rules and refs is that "circumstances" do NOT make it impossible to T him up here.
If he had done this with 5 minutes left, it would have been a tech. And it should have been with .05 seconds left, just the same.
Coaches can cost their team the game just like players. The second his head touched the ref's, the ref should have T'd him up. Period.

@Humble_Analysis You’re showing yourself as not watching much basketball. Chris Webber got a critical tech for calling a timeout he don’t have at the end of a NCG. Dean was ejected from a Final Four. Illinois had a T a few years ago for hanging on a rim. Rules are rules regardless the situation.

UConn should have been called for a technical for a player running on the court off the bench but I understand not wanting a team to lose in that way. But this would have been a well deserved way to lose. Hurley is a jackass.
