@void_mileena That’s actually why I like MK1 Mileena. I think that Liu Kang actually wanted her to have the family that she so obviously craved. Do I like that she’s the older sister? No, I get it’s kinda a thing from MKX but like I don’t think it really adds anything to the character.

I always believed that Mileena knew Shao Kahn and (Evil) Sindel never genuinely cared about her and only saw her as a replacement for kitana, but since she was born out of malice instead of love, she feels hollow on the inside like she craves something beyond her own nature and for that reason she always tries her best to please her toxic "parents" just so she could keep living in this delusion that she calls "family"

Araki picks inspiration from all sort of sources. You can tell he reads pop science magazines, and puts a pin on anything interesting. I love his traveling stories because he's such an acute observer of culture and people, too. There's very few like him

@pigori 1. We are not taught how to properly cook it. 2. We are raised to think of it as “gross” or uncomfortable. 3. Slow and low type cooking usually means you don’t need to keep a constant eye on it so you can easily get other things done. Good for if you have kids or work.

The tie-in DreamWorks cartoons had such a weird variety to them. Penguins was a genuinely funny episodic cartoon and the King Julien show had this really weird ongoing storyline where Mort was a paranoid schizophrenic with Lovecraft horror powers and 10000 other DID alters
