Diablo 4’s retention this season is strong AF, so the new endgame IS keeping players interested. Granted, Steam isn’t the best source, as most of the playerbase is on Battlenet, but it is a decent indicator of trends. Season 13 is outperforming previous seasons by a wide margin and the curve isn't dropping off a cliff after the first couple weeks of the season.

I am interested in how accurate they were for the time period of the film. I have been told it's close, but never had the chance to ask someone from Japan.

Tom Cruise plays a white foreigner in this film. He's not supposed to be Japanese in it. It's just the POV of an American who witnesses the end of the samurai era.
This is not the same as The Odyssey, for example.
