Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Clarification on My Political Position We have noted recent media reports and discussions suggesting a possible realignment within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) due to the current challenges facing the party. In light of the misleading narratives in the public domain, I wish to state categorically that no final decision has been taken regarding my political future or that of my political associates. The recent Supreme Court judgment, while affirming the legitimacy of the David Mark-led National Working Committee (NWC), also remitted the matter back to the High Court. This has left the party in a precarious position. In addition, the Federal High Court has recently ruled to delegitimise the party’s recent convention. The Attorney General of the Federation has also strangely applied to a Federal High Court to deregister the ADC. We left the NNPP due to externally influenced legal problems that made our stay perilous. The ADC has now been also forced into this difficulty. Consequently, like other major stakeholders, we have commenced wide-ranging consultations — including with leaders from the NDC, PRP and others to explore the best options for protecting our democratic interests. We shall announce our decision in the soonest possible time. On the issue of presidential candidacy, I wish to recall my consistent record as a committed democrat. In the 2014 APC presidential primary, I came second to President Muhammadu Buhari (whom I fully supported to victory), with Atiku Abubakar third, Rochas Okorocha fourth, and the late Sam Nda-Isaiah fifth. Similarly, in 2019, I contested the PDP presidential ticket and immediately supported the winner, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar, serving as the campaign’s coordinator in the North. I have always placed national interest and party unity above personal ambition. Furthermore, the ADC is yet to zone its presidential ticket or take any decision on a candidate. I have therefore neither declared any intention to run for president nor endorsed any aspirant. All speculations to the contrary are premature and unfounded. My absence from the two recent ADC stakeholders’ meetings was due to unavoidable personal commitments. I promptly communicated my apologies to the party leadership. We shall continue to engage constructively at all levels. Any definitive position on our political direction will be communicated formally through official channels at the appropriate time. Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, PhD, FNSE Former Governor, Kano State Former Minster of Defence

Someone has to say it and I will. The only reason why people are still trying to push Atiku for presidency is because we have too many extremely selfish “elites” who will not support a reformer because all they are waiting for their own turn to benefit from the national cake. Only few are interested in Nigeria as a country. The rest just wants their share too. That’s why the Nigeria project will never make it. There are too many “Emi lo kans” who do not see Nigeria as a nation that can ever be bound in freedom, equity, peace, unity and inclusivity. Pin this 📌

It’s Kenjaku. No contest. The man had 3 layers to every single plan and enough backup strategies to last 1,000 years if it fails😭😭. He’s the only mastermind in history committed enough to take back shots 🫩 BACK SHOTS, i mean he arched in different positions just to ensure the protagonist was born for his plan. Aizen Sama, Light, Zetsu won't do that. Kenjaku is clear

UPDATE ON THE MURDER OF ABDULSAMAD JAMIU -29 April 2026 Following the visit of a military delegation to the family, a military police investigative unit has since been deployed to the scene. The investigators conducted formal interrogations of all key witnesses, including the sister of the deceased, the parents, neighbours, and members of the community vigilante group. It was during these interrogations that a deeply disturbing detail emerged. The vigilante members revealed that after they had been directed to mop up Abdulsamad’s blood, they were further instructed by the soldiers to bury the remnants of his shattered skull and brain matter in the backyard of the family’s home. The vigilantes led the investigative team to the exact location in the backyard where these remains were buried. We wish to be clear about what this means: the remains of our son’s head were buried in the ground of his own home like refuse, without the knowledge or consent of his family. The investigative team has given the family their assurance that the investigation will be thorough and that it will continue until answers and justice are delivered. The family acknowledges this commitment and will be watching its fulfilment closely. The family of Abdulsamad Jamiu wishes to use this moment to express profound and heartfelt gratitude to every Nigerian who has taken up this cause and refused to let it be buried alongside our son. To the media houses who gave our grief a voice and our truth a platform — thank you. To community and political leaders who have stood with us and spoken up — thank you. To the friends of Abdulsamad, who have kept his name alive and reminded the world that he was loved — thank you. And to every individual who shared, commented, prayed, and demanded accountability on our behalf — you have not done so in vain. The family remains resolute. The investigation is ongoing. Justice for Abdulsamad is non-negotiable. — The Family of Abdulsamad Jamiu #JusticeForAbdulsamad #JusticeForSamad

UPDATE ON THE MURDER OF ABDULSAMAD JAMIU This morning, 27 April 2026, representatives from HQ Nigerian Army, led by Brigadier S. O. Buhari, visited the family to offer condolences and to inspect the scene of the incident. During the visit, they stated that they were unaware the house was fenced and that the room where the shooting occurred was located downstairs. This contradicts their earlier claim suggesting the death resulted from a “stray bullet.” The delegation expressed condolences and assured the family that the officers involved would be investigated and held accountable. The family has formally demanded the retraction of the initial statement and a public apology for what they consider an insult to the memory of their son. Although there was a promise to delete the statement, the family made it clear that trust has already been undermined, especially given that some military personnel had visited the scene the yesterday before issuing the statement in question. We reiterate our demand that those responsible for the killing of Abdulsalam Jamiu be brought to justice. This was not an accident. He was in his home; military men entered the premises, approached his room, and shot him through the door. Twice. This was not a mistake.

Nigeria Police Force
FORCE LEADERSHIP ORDERS DISMISSAL,PROSECUTION OF OFFICERS INVOLVED IN EFFURUN SHOOTING The Nigeria Police Force hereby provides an update on the disciplinary actions taken following the fatal shooting incident of 26th April 2026 in Effurun, Delta State, which resulted in the death of Mr Mene Ogidi. Sequel to the earlier directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, all officers connected to the incident were immediately withdrawn from the Delta State Command and transferred to Force Headquarters, Abuja, where they were subjected to expedited disciplinary proceedings. The Force Disciplinary Committee (FDC), alongside other internal disciplinary processes, has concluded its review. Findings established unequivocally that the principal officer, ASP Nuhu Usman, acted in gross violation of Force Order 237 and other extant regulations governing the use of firearms. His actions were unlawful, unprofessional, and a clear betrayal of the oath to protect life and uphold the law. Consequently, the FDC has recommended the immediate dismissal of ASP Nuhu Usman and other officers found culpable. The Inspector-General of Police has approved the recommendations and forwarded same to the Police Service Commission for ratification in line with due process. Upon completion of the administrative procedures, the affected officers will be handed over to the appropriate judicial authorities for prosecution for their roles in the extrajudicial shooting. The Inspector-General of Police reiterates, in the strongest terms, that the Nigeria Police Force maintains a zero-tolerance stance on extra-judicial actions and abuse of power. No uniform confers the right to take life outside the provisions of the law. Any officer who violates this fundamental principle will face the full weight of disciplinary and legal consequences. The IGP extends his deepest and most solemn condolences to the family of the deceased, Mr Mene Ogidi. He acknowledges the pain and loss suffered and assures the family that this tragic incident will not be treated lightly. The Force is fully committed to ensuring that justice is not only served but seen to be served, in a manner that reinforces public confidence and institutional accountability. Members of the public are urged to remain calm and law-abiding, as the Nigeria Police Force remains steadfast in its commitment to discipline, professionalism, and the protection of the rights and dignity of all citizens while ensuring accountability at all levels. I warned then-President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua that NNPC couldn’t run the refineries. He told me he knew, but cancelled the $750 million sale to Aliko Dangote due to pressure. I said the refineries would eventually be sold as scrap. Now I’m told about $16 billion has been spent and they are still not working—just $4 billion short of what Dangote used to build the world’s largest refinery. —Former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
