@UnclePen1 I still think State will be missing out on a huge opportunity by not hiring Gainey. He bleeds State and is ready. He will have success initially and build a program for sustained success.

Josh Schertz is the 1st choice for NC State. Boo Corrigan (AD) hopes to get response from Schertz on Monday. He is expecting a big payday - $3.5 million. Second option is alumni Justin Gainey.

@UnclePen1 Wouldn't Schertz get more than $3.5 mil? That's what his extension is with STL that he just signed.

It appears to be a lock for Justin Gainey at NC State. Gainey is meeting with Corrigan and the top Wolfpack brass tonight, even with Tennessee having an Elite Eight matchup tomorrow. Get’s a huge recommendation from Barnes.

@LeeFouler With revenue sharing and NIL budgets, $1 million is not the biggest issue. They have to balance NIL and Coach salary budgets.

Our fans need to look long and hard at the numbers being thrown around for basketball. Those who think Schertz is a viable option be aware that his current salary is almost a million more than what we paid Wade this year.
