Paul Wight comments on his role with AEW helping some of the younger talent, notes getting in the ring with them: “I don’t have to do much at this stage of the game. I’m not competing for championships, I’m not pulling the wagon working every week. I have a great opportunity with All Elite Wrestling which was very important to me. To be able to help mentor some of the younger talent when they want it, tell them some stories to help them avoid some troubles in life, do the commentating where I can help explain what they’re doing and help develop their characters. And then get in the ring cause there are things that I can do in the ring working with them that I know will help them. And it’s fun for me because I don’t have to do much… I show up once in a while. Everybody’s happy. I come over here, get a nice little pop from the crowd. ‘Oh, we remember him back when he had long hair and a bright future. We’re glad he’s still doing well.’” (TFI Unplugged)

When wwe signs you to a contract, they can cut you without honoring the agreed time frame of the contract . Sometimes burning a company that could provide you several guaranteed years of employment (ex. Aew, njpw) for a wwe conttact that can cut you in a year of a 3 year contract might not be worth it. The good bros. Signed a big contract & wwe didnt honor it is a good example. Aleister black was employed by aew for 3 years & only got 1 year out of a wwe contract Jeff cobb left njpw & only got 1 year out of wwe.

If you’re a wrestler that gets offered big money in WWE, you have to be cognizant of the fact that unless you get over as a top talent and/or big merch seller, WWE is gonna try to get out of that deal as soon as possible. Main roster minimum is $350,000. If you’re like, a midcarder and they throw 500 bands at you, you’re getting that for a year bro. You’re gonna get whacked. Unless you find yourself a YEET.

This makes zero sense at all, so, no. I will not be supporting this.

Imagine being an inspiring pro wrestler and your dream is to sign with WWE 🥴
