I sometimes try to remember what I did with all my free time before kids and I genuinely cannot. It feels like that person existed in a different lifetime. Your brain physically reorganizes during pregnancy. The areas that are most heavily remodeled are the ones that deal with self reflection and personal identity. After pregnancy, those same areas are oriented more toward your child, toward reading their cues, and toward keeping them safe. The old version of you is still in there somewhere, but your brain built a new identity around it and the previous one does not sit in the same place anymore. Every mom I talk to describes this same feeling. Like they can remember facts about their old life but cannot actually feel what it was like to live it. That's because the hardware reorganized.

I used to be the guy who shut it all down. Electric vehicles? Nah. Cars that drive themselves? Not a chance. Crypto? Same story. If I didn’t believe it, I didn’t even entertain the conversation. I tuned it out. Laughed it off. Moved on. Then life did what it always does it tested my certainty. Seven years ago, crypto humbled me. FIVE years ago, the same thing started happening with EVs… especially Tesla. I didn’t jump in blindly. I studied. Review after review. Real experiences. Real people. Then in 2023, a close friend of mine pulled the trigger on a Tesla Model S Plaid. I rode in it. Drag Strip mode. If you know you know. That wasn’t a car. That was a shift. Still… I wasn’t all in yet. Fast forward three years. Now it’s not just me anymore it’s my wife, and now our first child. Everything changes when you’ve got a baby in the backseat. Speed doesn’t matter like it used to. Image doesn’t matter. What matters is simple: Safety. Reliability. Peace of mind. My wife wanted something we could trust. Something easy with a car seat. Something built for real life. So I told her, “Let’s not guess. Let’s test it.” We rented a Tesla Model X out of Oklahoma City for a road trip down to San Antonio. No hype. No bias. Just us, the road, and the truth. I set Full Self-Driving (FSD) from our driveway. And just like that… we were moving. Heading south, something unexpected hit me not fear… not doubt… Freedom. The car was driving, but I was present. Talking to my wife. Relaxed. A different kind of control. As the miles passed, the comfort grew. The trust grew. Then came the moment you can’t simulate. 75 mph. Highway speed. We’re in the middle lane. A semi to our right. A Subaru Outback in front of us. And then..... chaos. The semi’s left rear tire explodes. Rubber. Debris. Everywhere. No warning. No time to think. The Subaru scrambles. The situation tightens. And before I could even react before my hands made it back to the wheel the Tesla already had. It shifted left. Clean. Controlled. No panic. Accelerated through the gap. Past the danger. Past the debris. Not lucky. Not random. Decisive. Silence hit the car for a second after. That kind of silence where you realize something just happened… something real. My wife grabbed the phone and called the rental company, “Rent A Tesla OKC.” She told them what happened. Their first question? “Are you and your family safe?” That was it. Not the car. Not liability. Not damage. Us. That’s when it clicked for me. This wasn’t just about advanced tech from Tesla or the vision created by @elonmusk This was bigger. It was about where we are right now in 2026. A time where: A car can react faster than human instinct A company leads with humanity before business And you can put your family in something built not just to move… but to protect I started this journey skeptical. Closed off. Certain I was right. Now? I’ve seen it. I’ve felt it. I’ve lived it. And when the time is right, we’re not guessing. We’re buying the Model X. Because when it mattered most when there was no time to think, no time to hesitate it showed up. Rent A Tesla OKC showed up. Tesla showed up. 10/10. #undefeated #tesla #fsd #elon

I think it just depends on where you're driving! The perception being (I'm guilty of this) "Im going to have to find chargers around the city and juat wait". But would you like to be able to fuel up at home? For daily driving, that's all you need is a home charger. For this road trip (we rented it specifically to test longer road trips) it worked well for us. Champ only makes it so far before we have to stop to eat or I have to stop to pee. We had 20min charges required but we stayed longer than that anyways just between eating, changing diapers, burning some energy. All at places we would have had to stop anyways (or want to like Buc'ees) 🤷🏼‍♀️ it worked great for us.. but for my daily drives, I'll just be "filling the tank" at home while I sleep.

The minivan era is over. Elon just confirmed Tesla is working on something cooler than a minivan. Many are hoping it's a Cyber SUV built on the Cybertruck platform. Same durability. Same tech. Same futuristic design. This would be the next evolution of what an SUV should be. Who's ready to order theirs?

Is there anything worse than being stressed about managing your baby's emotions on a plane the whole flight, something you literally cannot control, only to realize there's actually grown adults on the plane with the expectation that you should manage their emotions as well? ugh
Laura Loomer@LauraLoomer

Is there anything worse than a crying baby on a plane? I wish parents would control their children. It’s so disruptive. I refuse to believe a baby cries for 10 hours. At some point this is just bad parenting, right?

@BowTiedNaga Babies need very little stuff. The practical stuff was the best (shampoo, towels, burp cloths). But I will say, get a really good nose sucker. Babies just need your love and attention. Every baby is different, trust your instincts (and particularly your wife's).

Im so sorry, the nausea is miserable! B6 at meal times? I also recommend a morning, nutrient dense and high protein (ice cold) shake right after you wake up. I found a collagen protein that didn't make me nauseous and first sips were hard, but the rest of my day went much better to where I could eat lunch.

Eating small meals to avoid first trimester nausea is NOT working. If anything, it makes me more sick. Nothing is working. Not diclegis or ginger or sea bands. Nothing. I know this will pass, but I’m so miserable. 😭

@NJBeisner I can imagine that if you don't have time to make a real ID appointment, you really don't have time to study the candidates and issues you would have been voting on in the election. You also very likely don't have time to stand in line to vote.

“I am part of the 40% of Americans that still have not gotten a real ID because I simply have not found the time to wait in line at the DMV for hours on end. And I’m somebody who’s self-employed so imagine if you are a worker who’s hourly and does not have the time or capacity to give a whole day worth of pay to stand in line at the DMV.” This is so outrageous. Unlike this this walking cliché blonde bimbo, I am not blessed enough to be a full-time self-employed content creator, yet somehow I managed to MAKE AN APPOINTMENT and SUBMIT MY DOCUMENTS beforehand online, and I was in and out of the DMV in less than 30. And that’s in Los Angeles, where the DMVs are all hellacious. Every single argument I’ve heard on this is pure fiction and emotionalism. Nobody likes going to the DMV or gathering necessary documents and dealing with bureaucracy, but you can do it. It’s not literally or physically inaccessible to us poors. This argument stems from pure laziness, and it’s a slap in the face to those of us who are actually paycheck to paycheck and are still functioning capable adults.

Thought I’d chime in (although it’s obvious), this is demonic. Mean high school girl tactics taken to the next level. TikTok is rife with millennial mothers gleefully enjoying this, it’s so embarrassing to be female sometimes. I swear we’re not all that dumb.
