Robby's problem was never a lack of empathy, its that he takes all the grief/sadness/heartbreak/etc around him in and doesnt have a healthy outlet for them and he lets them build up until he sees only one way out

Dennis moves in with Robby permanently. Neither one of them mention it but when Robby comes back Dennis never leaves
