We’ve seen it from two artists teaming up like @0xfar and @harto_fr on Buzz Buzz Buzz 🐝 to three artists collaborating, as with Far, Harto, and BLE77. And then we’ve seen it scaled up to 21 artists, like @QuadrillionArt Perpetuals Vol. 1, where these artists made their Bitcoin debut. Now comes 𝐀𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬, a collection described by that line above in the first paragraph. A 666 supply project created in 2023 by The Artist. It only minted out a few days ago🎊thanks to @HopefulofNFTs. 𝕊𝕠 𝕙𝕠𝕨 𝕕𝕚𝕕 ℍ𝕠𝕡𝕖𝕗𝕦𝕝 𝕘𝕖𝕥 𝕚𝕟𝕧𝕠𝕝𝕧𝕖𝕕? Hopeful has been collecting The Artist’s work since 2023, building a deep connection over time. It reminds me of the bond between @Phteven_Nobody & @burst_cryptoart starting with collecting on Ethereum, then curating Burst on Bitcoin. For Hopeful, The Artist’s work struck a chord. It made him reflect on his own past. Avoid Bright Lights especially stuck with him. He rocked the PFP for 19 months, learning from The Artist, growing that connection. But the collection wasn’t minting out. So Hopeful thought: “𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚒𝚏 𝙸 𝚌𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍 𝚑𝚎𝚕𝚙 𝚋𝚢 𝚐𝚎𝚝𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚜 𝚝𝚘 𝚍𝚎𝚜𝚌𝚛𝚒𝚋𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚙𝚒𝚎𝚌𝚎 𝚒𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚒𝚛 𝚘𝚠𝚗 𝚠𝚊𝚢? Named by Hopeful, it evolved from a collector’s love into what’s now the biggest collaboration on Ordinals 🤯with over 80 artists participating. ℍ𝕠𝕨 𝕕𝕚𝕕 𝕤𝕠 𝕞𝕒𝕟𝕪 𝕒𝕣𝕥𝕚𝕤𝕥𝕤 𝕘𝕖𝕥 𝕚𝕟𝕧𝕠𝕝𝕧𝕖𝕕? It started with a spark: @Emilmto , the first artist Hopeful reached out to. Emil’s colorful description and tweets caught attention. Soon, artists were curious, asking questions, and jumping in. Hopeful’s track record as a collaboration manager& artist supporter made it easier to connect. On April 14th, I had the privilege of joining the private Discord, watching artists brainstorm, submit their work, and collaborate. It’s been surreal seeing this come together. From some artists submitting 4MB+ files, to @TheArtistBTC building an entire submission site, compressing files, sorting inscriptions, coordinating marketing. To @trio_xyz stepping up, to cover inscription costs and showcase the collection at Trio House in Vegas. @sanjfomojis @rgXser The difference is you can run the ord indexer yourself. Idk, there is something magical about reproducing your content locally from onchain data!

Yeah ord servers are still fairly centralised so it is pretty normal for them to go down There are a few different indexers now, which is good but ideally it would be more decentralised The main difference is the data storage is immutable onchain and the code is open source so technically anyone could reproduce it all if the current forms go down

You’ll see this “NFT” everywhere today and for good reason Ordinals fixes this - your art is your art for as long as bitcoin survives But most people couldn’t care less about that Yes, Ordinals is the most immutable data storage layer to exist But it’s also got some of the biggest degens and best cultures in crypto If you don’t care about the tech Come for the vibes

a lot of creators and artists don’t care what chain they’re using to tokenize.. to me it’s the most important decision you can make CHOOSE BITCOIN
