Last week, dining workers at the Meta campus in Bellevue WA presented a petition asking Meta to allow workers back in the buildings’ parking garages – in part to limit their contact with ICE agents who have been witnessed in the area.

Dining workers on the area tech campuses are organizing to keep each other safe in the face of increased ICE activity and changing immigration policy.

Seattle Convention Center union employees handed out leaflets to pedestrians on January 31st. Workers say wages are too low, while Seattle's cost of living continues to rise. Management is even proposing medical plans with higher out-of-pocket costs for some workers.

Last week, 100s of union members, tenant organizers, community activists, and more gathered at City Hall to protest Airbnb-backed Intros 948 & 1107. We represent nearly 1,500 dining workers on tech campuses in WA and OR at Google, Microsoft, and Meta. All these workers secured union recognition through a card check process just like workers are now asking from Lavish Roots. The countdown to our deadline of Dec 1 continues!

Thank you to King County's @CMTMosqueda, State Rep. @OsmanSalahuddin, and Seattle councilmember-elect Foster for standing behind these workers! Lavish workers deserve the same fair process tech dining workers had at Google, Microsoft, and Meta (South Lake Union) in our region.

Tech dining workers and allies packed the room last night to announce a new deadline for @LavishRoots, Meta's cafeteria operator in Bellevue, Redmond, and SoDo. By December 1st, we demand Lavish end their anti-union campaign and agree to a fair process for union recognition!

BREAKING: After months of stonewalling by Starbucks, unionized baristas just voted 92% to authorize a ULP strike unless $SBUX finalizes fair contracts & stops union busting. If forced, our baristas will strike in dozens of cities on Nov 13– the company's busiest day of the year.

Congratulations to Zohran Mamdani on becoming the next Mayor of New York City.
