@hugoknowsball The numbers don’t even tell the full story-Bruno is literally the only consistent progression + chance creation outlet we have.

@SimplyUtd That PSG comeback wasn’t just a win… it was a reminder of what United still feels like when everything clicks. We’ve been chasing that version ever since.
English

@SimplyUtd @TEAMtalk So it’s not about talent, not about fit… it’s about wages. Football really is just HR with shin pads.

@SimplyUtd Carrick quietly coached one of United's best unbeaten runs post-Fergie and then vanished. Football is strange.
English

🗣️ Paul Pogba on Michael Carrick:
“I think he's doing a great job, and he did it also at the time when he was assistant to Solskjaer.
“He's a great guy, he has experience, he was a great player, and he has a very good connection with the players.
“I think it's gonna be good for United. I wish them the best, obviously, for him and all the staff and the players.”

Still can't believe Di Maria was scanning while the ball was spinning on his head. Things only Di Maria can do

@SimplyUtd Amorim says he sees things differently. Fair enough. But every manager who benches elite young talent thinks they're seeing something nobody else can. Sometimes they're right. Sometimes they're the reason the talent explodes somewhere else.
English

🗣️ Ruben Amorim explaining why Kobbie Mainoo wasn't a starter:
“Sometimes, it's a coach's OPINION. I remembered Vitinha wasn't playing for Wolves, and now, maybe he is the best midfielder in the WORLD.
“The way I play is completely different from the previous manager [Erik ten Hag].”
“I watched a lot of PL matches, and you could really feel that United was a transition team. Kobbie was the only ONE calming the game down.
“Today, we have another player who calms the game down. We play differently. And as a result, I sometimes expect more from Mainoo. I know he's capable of it.
“Maybe if I play him MORE, it will be hard to take him out, sometimes it's not fair, but I have to follow what I feel.
“I know he started a European final for a team [England] that has a lot of talented players. I know that, but sometimes, I see things differently.”

@Fortune3199 @SimplyUtd @JacobsBen Conversion rate without context is just numbers on a screen.
Same argument gets used for every striker who plays in a broken attack. Let him play in a functioning system first before the verdict is final
English

@UnitedTory @SimplyUtd @JacobsBen I know it sounds absurd but trust me he is ass
Look at his conversion rate plus he misses like crazy
Chelsea should carry him cause we would hear things like he was good till he joined us meanwhile he was never that good

English

@Sirpaipa @SimplyUtd Fair, but if you watched it week in week out you’d also see the service issue and system problem. Strikers don’t exist in isolation. Time will judge, but context matters too.
English

@UnitedTory @SimplyUtd Im sorry if you judging by highlights i was actually cussing my tv every week watching him trying to hold up play and those same 3 defenders played other teams too it just didn't work out for him but let time be the judge
English

🗣️ Michael Owen on why Rasmus Hojlund to Manchester United didn't work out:
"I don’t care who you play up front, it’s very hard to judge when the team aren’t functioning, stirkers are the end of the chain, if the chain is broken, it’s pointless in many ways. I would love to see Hojlund and see what he can do now.''
"He played in a Manchester United team that was broken and didn’t have any links and played poorly. Who’s to say he’s not really good? He’s doing really well in Italy now.
"For Sesko it was the same [in the beginning], it was hard to judge but now that chain throughout the team is actually working, you are seeing a different type of player.
"I just wonder how much wastage there has been for many years in. Everyone says the purchases have been poor and that might be the case but sometimes they might not get a fair crack of the whip because they don’t get the service."

@Jerry566f @UtdITK @SimplyUtd The real issue is clubs paying “potential + English tax + market panic” all in one fee

@UnitedTory @UtdITK @SimplyUtd Yup
Anthony Gordon , Caicedo for 120m
And many of these kinds of deals 🤝 have disrupted everything
Lots of money being wasted for average talent
