We’re not making the same mistake. We’re not creating instability. There’s no infighting. We’re trying to secure a smooth transition from a deeply unpopular leader to one who will be able to bring millions of voters back to Labour and win the next General Election.
Jack Abbott MP@jackabbott90

It's true to say things remain tough for many people despite a raft of positive changes. However, creating instability when people need us to focus on the job would be irresponsible. The Conservatives couldn't govern because of their infighting. We can't make the same mistake.

Mo Salah is the best player I’ve seen play for Liverpool. He is and always will be a legend of the club and much of what he has said - in terms of this season not being good enough - is absolutely right. That doesn’t necessarily mean he has gone about things in the right way.

@JackWDart If America marketed 💩in a box as a new trend, the sheeple in this country would start buying them. In droves. Most of these people couldn’t spell church. Or find one on a map. Never mind be a regular attendee in their local parish.

Yesterday was more like a sermon than a political event. It was dominated by religion. Crosses everywhere, speeches delivering the Lord’s Prayer and then whatever this is. They’re obsessed with ‘Christian British heritage’. It’s so weird.

@DaveLpooltaxi the real authority has to come from the manager though. Ronnie Moran found that out, all his shouting and hectoring was useless without complete back-up from the top. Houllier v Ince was the first real test. But it'll take a while, this lot seem ultra cocky.

I'm tired of politics driven by fear. Ppl are sick of managerialism, process and risk aversion. Always avoiding the worst means you may never achieve the best. I want hope back. Leaders who take risks, shoot for the best, because sometimes, we might just get there.

Lisa Nandy says she doesn't understand why the is so much focus on rejoining the EU from Wes Streeting and Andy Burnham If Lisa Nandy can't understand that an 8% hit to our GDP is a bad thing and that the sooner the UK rejoined the US, the better our chances of economic growth, you have to wonder about the economic illiteracy of so many of our politicians
