@shas_kais @m0pan_40k The really silly thing is that honestly most of the time, the crimes they accuse the Tau of (aside from being misinformed) are nearly always totally weak-sauce compared to anything else. They less "make them seem evil", and more just act like it's far bigger thing than it is.

T'au haters generally take something from their lore and remove the naunce and context. Then put it on a pedestal and harp on it incessantly. Don't get me wrong, the T'au are not perfect, but goddamn do their haters make it seem that the T'au are so evil that they make the Drukhari balk.

My least favorite thing about the 4th sphere of expansion is not the event itself nor the tau'va goddess but the way it made people (non tau fans?) assume it made the entire tau population 'xenophobic just like the Imperium' .....

They kill & then pretend to be Imperial governors, ruling for years whilst they send imperial citizens away to Commorragh. They pretend to be Craftworld Eldar to trick the Tau. Deception is their big thing.

Same for the sterilisation myth from DoW/DWRPG. It's just the IoM guessing & discouraging association with the Tau.

And vespid are sometimes shown to be more expendable. But it is always a maybe. Idk where the sterilization comes in, besides dawn of war 2.

One battle in the War of the Roses did feature an abnormal amount of elite foot troops in high grade armour on both sides, and it famously turned into an exhausting stalemate where each side struggled to effectively harm the other, until archers finally broke it.

Let’s not forget, that there were not thousands of people wearing this type of armor. The vast majority had crude armor, some barely that. On a battle field, having more than a few knights is not that common. So swarming and as other said, getting them off of their horse and onto the ground is often a death kneel for a knight. But also those who could afford this type of armor were generally noblemen who were at the back of the charge and often mostly out of combats way. The armor was a good way to just prevent random charges and projectiles.

@Onemncircle @m0pan_40k They're both some of the best for having an interest in depicting Tau in a fun but faithful way. And when they make jokes or do non-canon stuff, they'll generally make sure it's clear. The Tau don't get the same courtesy from the people making spiteful non-canon "jokes".

making tau content, sometimes I forget that unless they're fellow tau fans, most people won't know about tau septs. most won't know about how Vior'la (the box art sept) is known for its hot blooded warriors, how dal'yth is cosmopolitan, how D'yanoi is considered rustic etc...

@granblue4444 @m0pan_40k 2) Eg, you can pick out 5 Tau Septs and just paint them different colours, & that's all you need to do. It's actually tricky to do much more with the limited info/depictions we have. But five guard regiments will all have different headwear, uniforms, guns, even entire vehicles.

@granblue4444 @m0pan_40k The issue with the guard, is that their regiments are more visually distinct than most factions in terms of actual minis and equipment variation. Tau septs, Eldar craftworlds, Tyranids, Ork clans, Necrons, and most space marines, are comparably mostly distinguished by colour.

@Goldietheswag3 @superfeyn Whilst Ethereal's mysterious "influence" is said to only work on Tau, there is the case in 'Elemental Council' where a Tempestus Scion sent to infiltrate the Tau, actually ends up falling in love with an Ethereal & defects for real. So they likely have a natural special charisma.

I wonder if gue'vesa would have the same respect towards the ethereals as Tau, and if so, if some ethereals actually enjoy being near gue'vesa more since they would be able to be more blunt. The ethereal must have noticed smiles to be able to do it, unless ethereals are supposed to be able to do everything the 4 other castes can do?

VRChat just really isn't about gaining levels or RPG skills. The skills you grind are 3D modelling, Unity, etc.

Russia also signed this treaty promising to respect it's independence. Russia broke the treaty. The US half respected it. Only Ukraine kept it's word.

@Anidyne_22 @LunaAlphaLilita There's loads like that. Despite all the complaints only a an objective minority of weapons have ever been nerfed, and most only very slightly. Meanwhile virtually every weapon in the game has been buffed, most several times, and many being huge buffs.

@UnknownSquids @Ceaseless_boid So maybe I’m biased, due to my hours and the skill from it, but if I can click up with randoms, not talking to eachother, on diff 10, baked, and still we win with double digit reinforcements left, full clear, with 20 minutes to spare The game needs to be more difficult

Diff 10 should be harder, even on hive world, it’s a team game, you should be able to complete them with a competent team

@Ceaseless_boid 4) The single "reward" that could be adjusted, would be galactic war contribution, mathematically balanced against failure rates to prevent hardcore missions tanking liberation progress. Using this system would hopefully allow both sides of the community to co-exist reasonably.

@Ceaseless_boid I 100% agree, but at this point it's not possible. The casual masses won't tolerate the ego hit. The only way I can see to bring back difficulty without a riot, is to add a special "challenge mode" modifier that can be applied to all existing difficulties. The modifier would -->

@Ceaseless_boid 3) This way the difficulty could be tailored so that a "D5 Challenge Mode" would be loosely equivalent to a normal D10, and a D10C would be truly hellish and near impossible to complete without serious teamwork (like back at release day). Alternative name, "hardcore mode" maybe?

@Ceaseless_boid 2) offer zero new rewards & not contain any truly unique content, to avoid casual players feeling compelled to experience or farm it. It would modify existing content, such as restoring the armour on Hulks for example to require accuracy/flanking etc, like how the game released.
