Hard to believe it’s been a year since Hamilton County Deputy Larry Henderson was killed while directing traffic for UC’s graduation. Today, we honor him and remember all of those lives he touched. Extra prayers for the Henderson family and all of his friends. 💙💙💙

Eldora Speedway is saddened to learn of the passing of Ohio's own, Larry Moore. Moore's racing resume and legacy is rooted deep in Eldora history. The Dayton, Ohio driver began racing at Eldora in the mid 1960s and amassed dozens of Big 'E' wins over the span of his career. He once won seven straight races at Eldora, which prompted promotor Earl Baltes to add a handicap the next race by making him run one extra lap in the Feature compared to the rest of the field! The pinnacle of Moore's career came on the sport's biggest stage. He was a 3-time World 100 winner, grabbing the coveted globed trophy in 1979, 1981, and 1985. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Larry's family, friends and all those who admired him.

We lost one of the original pioneers in dirt late model racing. Larry Moore was one of the all time best. He was more than a driver he tested and crew chiefed from the seat. I learned a lot from Larry over my early years in the sport. Traveled a lot of miles together with him. Sending prayers and condolences to Kay and Larry’s family. RIP 🙏🏻
