Unoptimized Fool

Looks like there’s been some pretty major changes to Heroic World Tier in the latest PTR build. With the updates, Heroic World Tier now rewards: • Increased Field Accolades • No increased Voidlight Marl • Champion Crests from World Quests • Rares now dropping Warbound Champion loot • World Boss dropping x1 Hero track item per week • x1 Myth item after 4 weeks of World Boss kills They’ve also updated the Cache vendor so you can now buy specific Hero gear slots for 750 Field Accolades. The difficulty itself doesn’t seem to have changed though. As a pretty midcore player, I’m constantly struggling in there and regularly dying to basic trash mobs (maybe I’m just terrible). But it still leaves the same question: If it feels this difficult while I’m in full Myth gear, what chance does someone who actually needs Champion/Hero gear realistically have? Surely most players would just gear through easier sources instead of putting themselves through that level of difficulty.

With the latest patch, it looks like some of the predicted dates for Patch 12.1 & Season 2 may have shifted Turbulent Timeways V has now been moved to June 30th until August 11th, which could potentially line up with Patch 12.1 launching on August 11th and Season 2 starting a week later on August 18th. I still fully expect Patch 12.0.7 to launch on June 16th though, especially with Midsummer Fire Festival starting that weekend and 12.0.7 containing a ton of updates for that event.
