It's 2026 and Unreal Engine still does not have a built-in "Is Running in Editor" node in Blueprints. So of course Directive Utilities has this pure function as it's very useful for editor-only logic and debugging. What other basic utility nodes are missing from the engine?

Directive Utilities have 5 Enhanced Input utilities that make using that Unreal Engine subsystem quite a bit easier to use. Bulk add/remove Input Mapping Contexts, swap them, and more. My go-to's.

UE Tip: Quick Node Straightening Hit Q to quickly straighten your nodes and keep graphs tidy. Select nodes → Q for full alignment. Select in order → Q to align based on selection.

UE Tip: Fast Wire Cutting Hold Alt + Left Mouse Click and drag your mouse across any wires to slice through them instantly. Perfect for quickly cleaning up connections without disconnecting nodes one by one.

@UnrealDirective great tips! I didn't know about shift click to connect! also, this might be in another screen, but don't forget about the recent alt + LMB drag to start a cutting line that disconnects all the wires it crosses

UE Tip Use these shortcuts to save time managing node wires. I often use Shift + Left Click to connect two pins without dragging. Great for long connections across the graph, and less error-prone than dragging.

The deprecation of blueprints in UE6 is going to be a wild ride. While I understand why they are doing it in favor of verse, it doesn't lessen the impact of the removable of powerful accessibility tool for developers.
