@Tezenari @UnrealDirective Oh man I know there were things I wanted every now and again that I couldn't believe wasn't in Unreal, and of course now that there's an opportunity here I can't think of a single one!!

It's 2026 and Unreal Engine still does not have a built-in "Is Running in Editor" node in Blueprints. So of course Directive Utilities has this pure function as it's very useful for editor-only logic and debugging. What other basic utility nodes are missing from the engine?

Directive Utilities 2.0 is out (previously UDCore)! I built this from the Blueprint nodes I kept wishing Unreal Engine had. It now includes 195 runtime and editor utilities, and the whole thing is free and open source. Now supports UE 5.6 - 5.8 github.com/UnrealDirectiv…

@Zmeinir Honestly, they need to streamline media viewing with multiple views and discoverability (like channels). There are some many artists and content creators on here that I just want to see their past content instead of scrolling through their feed.

Directive Utilities have 5 Enhanced Input utilities that make using that Unreal Engine subsystem quite a bit easier to use. Bulk add/remove Input Mapping Contexts, swap them, and more. My go-to's.

@_3Leon Currently they are decently performant, but I'm not happy with that. I've been adding additional tests to stress test the utilities across various scenarios and item counts and have been making improvements.

Updated additional tests for Directive Utilities and fixed several issues that were discovered during testing. This should be the final hotfix for a while as I shift focus to adding more utilities. v2.0.2 Release github.com/UnrealDirectiv…

@Rev0verDrive @UnrealEngine Yes, I’ll use the best tool for the job. Depending on the project, I develop systems architecture using C++ and implement using blueprints. And in UE6, that’ll be C++ and (or depending on verse itself) verse.

The open-source Directive Utilities plugin for @UnrealEngine has 6 new useful map utilities. I added these to the plugin as my team and I have been using these consistently for the past few years.

Looking through the survey on wowclassic.plus/home. One question regarding including M+, I'd say yes, but only if there is no timer attached. Players should be able to increase the difficulty and take it slow and steady.

@Wowhead I would say no for Classic+. Adding more flight paths, while better for the player experience, does reduce the amount of wonder and exploration on Azeroth.

@nikitabier A welcome change! Could I recommend that you allow the "snooze" topics to be permanent toggles. There are just some topics that users don't want to ever see.

We're rolling out a small tweak to boost visibility of your posts to your mutuals (people who you follow back). We noticed this data was missing from the algo and it made your friends appear less in your replies. This resulted in the reply section feeling more like a battleground with people you don't recognize. This should also help clusters form around interests more easily, which many people have asked for.

@JordiRib1 That's way too much wasted space. Sure you removed the unnecessary parts, but you're literally showing the same amount of items.

Our team has partnered with Windows to update the Windows Search Box, helping make it faster, more relevant, and easier to use. Changes include a simplified home screen, clearer results, and more user control. You can see an example in the Before/After screenshot below. The search results are only organic – no sponsored results. These improvements become available to Windows Insiders today. Read more about the updates in the Windows Insider blog post: msft.it/6010v0QGA

@droidbuilds On most websites, you are not losing anything by having a little less width. For example, the website you're currently on reading this.

@tomwarren Basically what should have been the standard. The current implementation should never have been a thing under proper management.

Microsoft is making some BIG changes to Windows Search. It's dropping the annoying ads, decluttering the UI, and prioritizing local results over web ones. Looks like some genuinely great changes 🙏 blogs.windows.com/windows-inside…
