Until now, Illinoisans had 2 choices: the far left and the far right—JB Pritzker, a billionaire who doesn’t even want the job, it’s just a stepping stone for his national ambitions, or Darren Bailey, a perennial candidate who is flip-flopping so much voters have whiplash. Now, voters will have a mainstream, common sense option for Illinois Governor when they go to the polls. And Independents, disaffected Republicans and Democrats, and Illinoisans who have given up on voting have a reason to go to the polls.
