The woman went into labor while the plane was on final approach, and the baby was successfully delivered onboard Flight 005 before landing, with medical personnel waiting at the gate. In a lighthearted moment captured on ATC audio, a JFK ground controller even joked that the mother should name the baby “Kennedy.” Interestingly, this isn’t the first time a baby has been born on a flight heading to JFK. Back in 2015, a mother also gave birth onboard a Royal Jordanian flight, with the plane landing safely hours later and both mother and baby reported to be in good condition.

Work will begin this month on an ultra-modern Concourse connecting Terminals 2 and 3 to ease congestion and provide world-class, high-end facilities for the traveling public. The New Concourse will have 5 new Passenger Boarding Bridges 5 passenger holding areas Bi-directional Travelators 5 new escalators and elevators 1 VIP Lounge 4 Business Lounges 4 New Retail/Duty Free Pods among others. The design of the Concourse and other facilities are shown below.
