Three women from Rochester, NY, travelled to Chicago for a birthday dinner at Soul Vibez restaurant. They enjoyed Alfredo pasta, fried chicken wings, lemon drops, and other items, running up a $200+ tab. Instead of paying, they slipped out one by one while the server was away and fled. They later posted about the "win" online. The restaurant's surveillance video and their reservation details (with real names and contacts) quickly identified them, leading to a police investigation.

@FIREDUpWealth Yeah, I agree. I think about when I first opened my IRA when I was in my 20s and didn’t really know what I was doing or have a blueprint.

It’s still a tough question TBH. I realize it would be hard to do it again, but I just turned $980k into nearly $5 million since 2023. It would be hard for me not to take the lump sum, even after taxes. The problem is at 20 I wasn’t a good investor and I would have lost it all. 😜🫣🤣

What would you? Take the million or $1k?

@FIREDUpWealth Oh, without a doubt if I was 20. I would take the 52K a year. I was answering from my own perspective on what I would do if I won. 20 is in the rearview mirror for me. 😂

@UpstateAngler She is 20 in this case. Do you think most people would just blow the $650k lump sum after taxes?

@FIREDUpWealth I think for people who can’t manage their money well, the money each year is probably the better move, but for somebody who immediate sees that as an opportunity to receive a sum of money to invest you’ll gain that tax loss back in time Plus I think age would play a major factor

The Minnesota Wild (104 pts) were the 3rd best team in the West this season. They should’ve played the 6-seed Mammoth (92 pts). Instead, they played the 2-seed Stars (112 pts)… and took care of business. Their reward? The 1-seed Avs (121 pts). Just absolutely ridiculous.
