@MissionAmbedkar There's an easy way to fix this (if the govt has balls to do it) - Last names should be randomly assigned to kids at birth and that's the name that should be registered everywhere - on birth certificates, school leaving certificates etc. Name shouldn't reveal caste.

@nethrapal I bought my first set of Dr Ambedakar s writing from Bodhgaya. A bookshop inside the premises of the temple. It was 2013, the bookseller told me to take the whole set, its becoming difficult to stock them.

I still remember when I was in IIT, one of my relatives gifted me Dr Ambedkar's books ( 12 volumes). Frankly speaking I did not understand, I felt that my English was not up to the mark. Then when I got into civil services and joined NADT, the training academy in Nagpur, again one of my batchmates, gifted me again. This time when I read i understood few things. As my interest grew, I read all and today I can say I understand our great leader's vision than ever before. As a practice we should start cultivating the habit of gifting 12 volumes of Dr Ambedkar's work instead of boutiques and Saplings

However, weeks later, when we contacted customer care to request the issuance of new cards, we were informed that the actual charges are ₹3,500 + GST per card. This now results in a total burden of approximately ₹7,000 + GST for both cards—something we would have reconsidered had the correct charges been communicated upfront. When we raised this discrepancy, the team assured us that they would review the call recordings and honor the earlier commitment if verified. It has now been over a month. The bank has acknowledged that the call recording does confirm the ₹250 + GST charge, yet they are still insisting that we pay ₹3,500 + GST for the replacement cards. This is highly concerning and raises serious questions about transparency, accountability, and customer trust. Such situations make customers lose trust in reputed institutions like ICICI Bank. If commitments made by the bank’s own representatives—even after verification—are not honored, it becomes extremely difficult to rely on their services.
