Soon I’m going to be able to talk about my startup, Embroidery, and what we do. But I need to ask for help. I’m trying to build an AI cybersecurity company. That means I’m up against giant vendors that lie, cheat, and fear-monger their way to the top. I can’t beat that alone. This industry has so many problems and we deserve better, but the only way to make it better is to beat the people who make it bad. That means I need help. That doesn’t mean buying my product. It means doing what you can, big or small: - If you see that my product might be useful to your company, help get me a meeting. - If you know someone it might help, help put me in touch. - If you don’t know anyone, help me with feedback. I need so much input from people. I’m always happy to jump on a call to talk no matter who you are or what you do. - And if nothing else, just reply to my posts to say you don’t hate me. That helps me not quit. I’ll post next week about what we are building, but I wanted to say this now. It’s awkward having to ask for help from people, but I don’t stand a chance without it. If you can help me, please know it means the world to me.

Ok so: message = text instructions agent =LLM w tools, connectors + sometimes a computer that takes in messages and does things including sending messages back local agent = that computer is on your desk cloud agent = that computer is on the internet sandbox = that computer is in a real or virtual box for the mutual safety of you and your agent subagent = your agent gives some work to another agent tool = a way to get a specific input/output from AI hooks = things that trigger off specific events in your agent’s life connector = a way to get info from AI to/from a 3p system MCP = a standard for connectors skills = set instructions and code for an agent to use over and over again api = a way for software to talk to other software via code cli = a way to trigger code (incl APIs) in the terminal which is easier than having your agent try to click buttons plugin = bundle of skills + connectors harness = opinionated and bundled set of instructions, tools, etc so an agent can make maximal use of its model and computer to do a good job, usually coding agent SDK = a way to programmatically invoke a harness what did I miss and also what is wrong with us

Turns out the story of the year was just...made up. and it gets worse. - John Doe is Chirayu Rana, 35, now a principal at Bregal Sagemount. he left JPMorgan and went straight to private equity. - The whole "threaten his bonus" premise collapsed. Hajdini reported to a completely different managing director than Rana. she had no say over his compensation. - JPMorgan pulled phone records, reviewed emails, interviewed the full team. found nothing. Rana even refused to participate in his own investigation. - A colleague described Rana as "socially awkward" but someone who "met the requirements" to stay at the bank. - Before any lawsuit, he tried to negotiate a payout in the "millions" to leave the bank quietly. they didn't bite. - He filed court filing, then his lawyers retracted it for "corrections" and deleted it. But the Daily Mail already ran the whole thing and the rest twitter did its thing. so he tried to get paid, didn't, then filed a now-retracted complaint against someone who couldn't touch his bonus. wild. feel terrible for her and her family.
