@MindfulL205 Not all aircraft are operated this way. The Lockheed L-1011 used a door that opened vertically and was operated automatically by pressing a switch. It did have an alternative manual mode though. I flew them for a few years. it was a fine plane!

Why did Boeing go touchpad when Airbus perfected the trackball? 🤔 Look at that A350 setup.... pure heaven. It's faster, more precise, fewer issues than 787 CCD (which has its flaky moments). I'd swap in a heartbeat. Boeing pilots agree or nah? Best cursor control in any cockpit you've used??
