Here’s neat (minor) modification to help pass a wire from a sheath with no assistance which I borrowed from an IR colleague
Put the sheath on your wrist/forearm like a giant bracelet

BWALE-33: The transparent tip of a Laser Fiber is very fragile. It can break. Use Nitinol basket to remove it. But remember that we dont need transparent tip. So CUT it with regular scissors. Laser efficiency remains the same,tip visibility is excellent(blue) &no risk of breakage

@foleyguacamoley @MCWasser In some cases, especially with larger catheters or in small urethra, when the balloon is fully deflated it creates a lip that can make removal difficult. Placing a small amount back in balloon fixes that

@MCWasser @Urology_tips My order of operations 1 over fill balloon with saline and try to take down 2 mineral oil 3 cut balloon port 4 stiff wire to pop balloon 5 US guided needle to the balloon and 6 if it’s a pure stone open removal 🤷🏼♀️
