1.5 weeks ago, we welcomed our third baby into the world, a baby girl. She was born at home, just like her brother, and it was an incredible experience. I feel very grateful to have had another natural home birth. We now have a 4-year-old girl, a 2-year-old boy, and a newborn at home. I feel incredibly lucky to have this little family of 5. Our first has always been our little Bitcoin superstar. Our second was nicknamed (by a friend) our little ETH superstar… so it feels only right that our newborn joins the tradition as our little Solana superstar. These are truly very, very special days for us.

Bitcoin is the most transparent monetary system ever built. Every transaction public. Every coin accounted for. Anyone can verify the ledger. Then Jane Street happened. One of four firms controlling BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF now faces a federal lawsuit for front-running a $40 billion collapse. Their disclosed IBIT position is $790M. Their derivative exposure is invisible, because current rules don’t require showing it. The base layer is radically transparent. The financial layer built around it is not. That is the real lesson of this week. Bitcoin solved transparency in code. The next step is deciding whether the architecture around it wants to meet the same standard. That conversation starts now.
