Look at how nasty Norah O'Donnell is toward Trump She reads the manifesto and asks for his reaction to it Trump responds: "Yeah, [the gunman] did write that. I'm not a rapist. I didn't rape anybody." O'Donnell: "Oh do you think he was referring to you?" She tries to act surprised that Trump knows the gunman was referring to him and tries to play it off as some sort of gotcha moment, a "oh, well he didn't name you but if you acknowledge that he was talking about you then you must have a guilty conscience over those things" moment Utterly disgraceful BS. CBS should fire her, something they should have done years ago.

@alabiopeyemi2 @libsoftiktok I got in trouble at my last job for saying I don’t vacation in Mex because it’s dangerous… a teacher cheering for the death of a president should be a concern.

Cole Allen is the Dunning-Kruger Assassin. Allen is not some random nut job from the fringes of society. He’s a very articulate graduate of Caltech, which means he has a high degree of native intelligence. He’s in the education profession. He is on BlueSky. He goes to No Kings protests. He’s your basic rank-and-file Democrat. But it’s that high native intellect that led him astray. The Dunning-Kruger Effect is, at its simplest level, people thinking they know more that they do. People who are high achievers in one area often mistakenly believe their native abilities make them experts in all areas. So you get a super-smart guy like Allen, he excels in one narrow area, and extrapolates that excellence into thinking he knows more than he does in other areas. He goes into Blue Sky, he goes to No Kings protests, and he is easily swayed into believing all of the insane, violent lies those sorts of intellectual cesspools foster. All of a sudden this computer science expert is a national political policy expert too, except that latter expertise is derived from insane propaganda. The man with the intellectual skill to write code is not smart enough to recognize when he himself has fallen prey to propaganda, so he KNOWS that Donald Trump is Hitler and must be stopped. And when you KNOW that someone is Hitler, what’s the right thing to do? That’s what is so scary at this very moment—the sheer number of ostensibly educated Democrats who KNOW so many things are “true" that are actually so very, very untrue. In many ways, Cole Allen is just an average Democrat, and like most average Democrats, he fell prey to credentialism and Dunning-Kruger. But Cole took it to the next level; let’s pray more do not.

@UsaAztGrl @CollinRugg To start with, the incompetent and suspiciously-failing security. But Trump always hires zealots over experts and that always comes back to bite a person.

NEW: The manifesto for alleged White House Correspondents’ Dinner gunman Cole Allen has been released. In the manifesto, Allen mocked Secret Service for being "incompetent" and for the poor security at the hotel. Here is the manifesto, in part, per the New York Post: "Hello everybody! So I may have given a lot of people a surprise today. Let me start off by apologizing to everyone whose trust I abused. ... On to why I did any of this: I am a citizen of the United States of America. What my representatives do reflects on me. And I am no longer willing to permit a ped*phile, rap*st, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes. ... Administration officials (not including Mr. Patel): they are targets, prioritized from highest-ranking to lowest Secret Service: they are targets only if necessary, and to be incapacitated non-lethally if possible (aka, I hope they’re wearing body armor because center mass with shotguns messes up people who *aren’t* Hotel Security: not targets if at all possible (aka unless they shoot at me) ... Rebuttals to objections: Objection 1: As a Christian, you should turn the other cheek. Rebuttal: Turning the other cheek is for when you yourself are oppressed. I’m not the person raped in a detention camp. I’m not the fisherman executed without trial. I’m not a schoolkid blown up or a child starved or a teenage girl abused by the many criminals in this administration. ... Thank you all for everything. Sincerely, Cole “coldForce” “Friendly Federal Assassin” Allen PS: Ok now that all the sappy stuff is done, what the hell is the Secret Service doing? Sorry, gonna rant a bit here and drop the formal tone. Like, I expected security cameras at every bend, bugged hotel rooms, armed agents every 10 feet, metal detectors out the wazoo. What I got (who knows, maybe they’re pranking me!) is nothing. No damn security. Not in transport. Not in the hotel. Not in the event. Like, the one thing that I immediately noticed walking into the hotel is the sense of arrogance. I walk in with multiple weapons and not a single person there considers the possibility that I could be a threat. The security at the event is all outside, focused on protestors and current arrivals, because apparently no one thought about what happens if someone checks in the day before. ... Video: @AsraNomani

We changed hotels at the last minute yesterday, and booked a room at the Hilton at 3p. I was never asked for a key, but could’ve produced one from a different city. Also never asked for ID, and waltzed through the lobby and lower ballroom areas like I owned the place. Only saw one LE dog by the red carpet, which also had surprisingly lax security. Having been to this event several times as early as 1995, this was probably the least security I’ve encountered. Thank God everyone is safe!
Bill Melugin@BillMelugin_

My thoughts on the security at the WHCD last night. The first exterior security for me was on the street outside of the hotel. I flashed my ticket and was waved through in one second. My name was not checked against any list, I showed no ID, I was not patted down and did not go through a metal detector. I probably could have shown a ticket from a prior year or a fake one as they barely looked at it. (I don't know who that exterior security was, they were guys in suits). From that point, I walked into the hotel with no further security check, and I walked down to the Fox pre-party where there were multiple ballrooms that were absolutely PACKED with attendees. Still did not go through any security at that point. Hypothetically, If I had hidden an explosive in my shoe or my jacket, I would have had no problem getting into one of those ballrooms. Only once it was time to get into the main ballroom for the dinner did we pass through magnetometers, empty our pockets, and get a pat down. And even that checkpoint was just outside of the dinner room. Two things can be true at the same time. Secret Service reacted quickly to an active armed threat and prevented that threat from getting into the ballroom. But the security leading up to that point, in my opinion, appeared to be lacking severely.

@CollinRugg The manifesto of a crazed assassin should be illegible. It’s almost scary how calm and matter of fact the tone is.

EVERY DEMOCRAT WANTS YOU DEAD. EVERY ONE. Every single one of them harbors this desire. They leave the physical act of pulling the trigger to others. The moment the bullet finds its mark, the masks drop and the celebration begins. "For the common good." "To protect our democracy." These are the same blood-soaked incantations they have recited since 2016. They will claim violence has no place in our politics while immediately pivoting to label MAGA as the real threat. The translation is clear. Your death is an unfortunate necessity demanded by the Republic. This represents the logical endpoint of a decade-long campaign of demonization. They call Trump Hitler. They label MAGA a cult. They equate border enforcement with racism and election skepticism with insurrection. Every institution they control from the media and academia to the DOJ and Big Tech has spent years programming their followers to view conservatives strictly as vermin. When the vermin start dying, the faithful refuse to mourn. They meme. They ratio. They trend phrases like "one down, millions to go." History is littered with regimes that spoke in the language of the common good while stacking bodies. The Jacobins, the Bolsheviks, and the Red Guards all began with noble rhetoric and ended with mass graves. The modern American Left has simply updated the vocabulary to weaponize terms like equity, sustainability, and the idea that democracy dies in darkness. It is the exact same meat grinder operating under new branding. Their rhetoric is its merciless clarity. It destroys the comfortable illusion of equal culpability between both sides. One side argues policy. The other side argues that your existence is a hate crime. There is no negotiating with that level of hostility. Reaching across the aisle is impossible when the opposition views the aisle itself as a moral obscenity. The path forward requires us to stop pretending. We must stop apologizing for noticing reality. We must stop ceding the moral high ground to people who cheer when we bleed. The shooting tonight is Exhibit A in the case for political realism. They want us erased. We want to win. Only one of those goals is compatible with survival.
