The story of the exploitation of the #ThandaChoir by Luke and Julio deserves outrage from everyone in and out of the entertainment industry. Thank you #carteblanche for exposing such exploitation! They are so young, but already learnt to be greedy! R400 per month!

Carte Blanche investigation raises transparency Concerns around The Thanda Choir Finances
The latest findings from Carte Blanche have cast a spotlight on the financial transparency of the Thanda Choir, as managers Julio Teixeira and Luke Bernhadi strongly maintain that every cent generated from the choir’s performances is reinvested into the organisation.
The Thanda Choir, founded by Lisakhanya ‘Prince’ Maqhajana. It is community-based organization in Makhaza, Khayelitsha, founded in 2023.
According to the investigation, instead of providing the requested financial statements, the managers’ legal representatives presented Carte Blanche with a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), widely interpreted as an attempt to prevent further inquiry or reporting on the matter.
The investigation further highlighted a troubling imbalance between what the choir reportedly earns and what its singers receive. According to Carte Blanche, bookings could command fees exceeding R40,000, yet performers were paid as little as R600, sometimes supplemented with basic food parcels instead of equitable compensation. This disparity has raised concerns about potential exploitation, particularly as singers were not always given clear information about the total value of bookings or how funds were allocated.
This response has raised questions about accountability, particularly given the public interest in organisations that operate within the charitable or community upliftment space. While Teixeira and Bernhadi remain firm in their position that funds are used solely for the benefit of the choir, the refusal to share financial documentation has left a gap between assurance and verifiable proof.

They're no single dads in the African community. Single dads get help from grandmothers, aunties and every living female relative or friends. Single mothers get to do it on their own .

Why are kids raised by single dads more decent and smart than those raised by single mothers 😳

Thanda Choir managers, Julio Teixeira and Luke Bernhadi, are adamant every cent made from choir performances goes towards the organisation. When asked to share their financials with us, we were met with an attempt to gag us with an NDA from their lawyers. #CarteBlanche

Scar from the Lion King.
He is the only lion there that behaved like a lion. Mufasa was running that Kingdom like a circus. "Hey, look. I know I eat you but I really like you. Come look at my son who will grow up to eat you". Busy involving monkeys in lion affairs and leaving his brother to have no choice but to form frienships with the enemy hyenas.
He had every right to fight for that throne because that is what male lions do. He didn't even kill that dude, it was the wildebeests that finished him off. The same ones he was doing musicals with.
To show that he was right, Simba started a new life of eating bugs when he ran away because he has the same weak genes as his father. When there was a drought, Scar didn't eat bugs. He kept it real and starved, but they made it seem like the drought was his fault. He was leading in difficult times!
When it was now convenient and the rains were coming, your Bug Eating king came back to take on a starving Scar while he had a stomach full of caterpillars and cockroaches because even when living with prey he is not the leader.
Scar's only mistake was letting Simba live. If he killed that little dude then the rains would come and the Kingdom would thrive again under his leadership. But no, he let him live and he came back when it was convenient because he can only lead in good times like his useless father.
Mufasa and Simba were good dudes, Scar was just a real lion. Which is what you would expect in a movie about lions 🤦🏾♂️
