First up, Gemini for Home (Early Access). We know that speed and latency are the most critical factors for your smart home, so we’re continuing to invest heavily here. ⚡️ Faster Control: Up to 1.5s response time boost for lights and plugs. Still more to do here but progress! ⏰ Snappier Alarms/Timers: Optimized processing for your most frequent commands. 🧠 Contextual Logic: Gemini is now better at distinguishing standalone commands from follow-ups, reducing interruptions.

@Usheen1 Current export tariffs are between 15 and 25c depending on your provider Cheap night EV rates are between 9-12c So the maths works out at sell high and buy low

The key to solar is prioritising exporting energy to the grid, not just powering your house. Thats where the savings are A battery powers the house instead and is charged at a cheap rate at night And combined with an EV charged at the night rate too is how you maximise savings
Enda O'Halloran@EO_Halloran

The savings from running a Solar+Battery+EV system at home are insane Last weekend our solar exported 70Kwh. That works out at getting paid ~€6 per day Charging the EV costs ~€365 per year. So 2 months of sun harvesting effectively pays for the ENTIRE yearly car fuel bill

People who say this will lead to inflation don’t understand what the economy is: People make stuff, are paid by other people who buy this stuff, and use that money to buy stuff other people make. Inflation happens when you give people more money but more stuff isn’t being made. AI/robotics will produce a lot more stuff per people, so it becomes a stuff allocation problem, which can be solved with universal high income. Universal high income is not used to make everyone rich, it’s used to redistribute consumption in a world where a lot more stuff is being made thanks to AI/robotics
Elon Musk@elonmusk

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

A package which gives money to industry but nothing for ordinary people is not an answer to the cost of living crisis. We need price controls to give people security and stop profiteering. The trade unions should be calling on workers to take action. rte.ie/news/ireland/2…

@JP_Mc_C @RoseFle54723126 Conspiracy theories have largely become mainstream and "accepted" because of social media. The political centre is collapsing globally, and more and more people are floating to the extremes.

Im just going to say it. Far left also use the same language about the state. They also have started going on about "mainstream media" as the enemy. I advise anyone when you hear these red flags, touch grass, Ireland ranks high for freedom and press freedom. Come back to facts
Danny Boy@Care2much18

A few guards dispersing gobshites is somehow "regime forces entering O'Connell Street." 🤣 I know his tweets are aimed at an American audience and amplified by MAGA cultists who have never set foot in Ireland. Notwithstanding, it's still one of the dumbest things ever written.

You do realise that the price of haulage, shipping, food production, etc. impacts every single citizen in society? When you buy food at the supermarket, the bottom line of the producer, distributor, etc. all contributes to the price. If they're screwed over, you're screwed over.
Common Cents@Reunify32

And there you have it. The fuel protests were never intended to result in support for ordinary people. The farmers and hauliers were in it for themselves only and didn’t give a shit about inconveniencing the rest of us to achieve their aims.
