Thread: How Pakistan Lost Kashmir in 1947. Long Post but worth reading. Pakistan, in its history, was blessed with two chances to decide the fate of Kashmir once and for all. One was in 1947 when our indecisive and fearful leadership stopped successful military offensive and 1/n

I noticed today that if I blur my eyes when down on the shot my potting accuracy is a lot better. Like instead of looking at the object ball or cueball I look somewhere between them so that I can't see where I'm aiming and then the balls find the pocket. If I try to aim I miss.

You can see Higgins has decided to win this tournament. No matter what his opponent does Higgins will do just enough to be a little bit better. Murphy has done well to stay in the match but it won't be enough.

@TSnooker102 Disagree. If he goes past last 16 he wins. You don’t want to peak in early stages. A scrappy victory would do but thnk hes going to get better as tournament progresses

@TSnooker102 Okay not rooting for their final but any match b/w them would be a delight to watch. Brecel however doesn’t have the same long game as zhao. Hope hes at his best at the crucible

I really hope Brecel can get back into his World Championship form. I really believe had he beaten Trump last year he might have become a two time World champion. If I had to choose now Zhao vs Brecel would probably be the best possible World final this year.

the Gulf should swap US bases for Pakistani ones. Pakistan has workable ties with Iran (less risk of escalation) and soldiers far more willing to fight for the region

The popular notion that Iran would outright reject any proposal involving the Strait of Hormuz or any such proposal is largely shaped by American strategic framing, which might be true and false at the same time because reality is more nuanced. Diplomacy operates on its own logic, which is fluid, layered, and often intentionally ambiguous. Before any formal deadline, a loosely defined understanding can yield multiple interpretations, allowing both sides to manoeuvre without committing to rigid positions. Iran permits limited or conditional passage under specific circumstances, such as for certain flagged vessels. In that sense, the Strait of Hormuz can be perceived as both “closed” and “open” at the same time: restricted in principle, but pragmatically negotiable in execution. Any potential agreement could therefore include both declared provisions and undisclosed understandings, giving each side the political cover needed to de-escalate. From a strategic standpoint, an off-ramp scenario is not entirely off the books. For example, Trump could frame a last-minute agreement as the result of credible pressure, emphasizing strength and power. Similarly, Iran could accept the same arrangement while presenting it domestically as a calculated act of defiance as “TACO”. In this framing, both parties secure a narrative of success for their internal audiences. In this way, both sides maintain their narratives while avoiding escalation and buying time for broader talks. That said, this scenario remains highly uncertain. Its feasibility ultimately depends on whether such an off-ramp aligns with the strategic and operational calculations of both Washington and Tehran. If either side perceives greater advantage in escalation rather than restraint, even the most carefully constructed diplomatic ambiguity may fail to hold.

Really good losing interview from Judd. Honestly, there were too many of them this season :( but after a total failure it’s nice to see some calm and humility. That’s right. Take this pain and use it to improve. #TourChampionship
